Great review. Agree that it took a minute to ramp up and that the final half hour was the best. I kinda wish that had been where the whole movie had been set. That was a lot more visually interesting and dynamic than the rest. I feel like this is a good movie for adults who grew up with stuff like Saturday morning cartoons and Madballs and “gross” toys of the 90s to show to their tweens/teens who have no nostalgia but are interested. I love that this director is working so much with practical effects and that mix of horror and comedy. Though man alive, I’d be fine with another Void-esque movie. That was a gem.

Great points here. I agree with you. I also would love for Kostanski to do another film like The Void, but from what I've read, that movie was a nightmare for him to complete, so I don't think he wants to go back there. Maybe over time though...
