I used to watch his video parts religiously! He knew how special it was to be a part of Powell Peralta. He has not only left a legacy behind, but he actually played a big roll in the direction that skateboarding has taken to what it is now. And he also changed the way companies could promote their riders. Hence the first "Video Pro"

iconic grabs, pops with big air traveling + massive land ins, and huge handrails style. Really nice to see when pulling massive drops, not so when on linking flat tricks (he pulls ok really hard tricks, but no in a much elegant way -imo). Inspiring and encorauging. Respect. One of the all time skating legends.

The only guy who disliked this was probably the principal at San Marcos. Jealous he couldn't clear the stair case.

FRANKIE is the most underrated innovator & pioneer of the "big ollie/gap" & has been overlooked for years. The "Skateboarding Hall Of Fame" hasn't shown any acknowledgement as to the accomplishments, skill level, fearlessness & humble, down to earth nature he possess' & the "endless" 1st's he's responsible for. I've seen live 1990-93 unheard of unbelievable, amazing spur of the moment unreal moves that he just sticks like it's nothing. During a music video being filmed at Powell, I saw w/my own eyes, FRANKIE ollie an 8pc drum kit(& drummer) It was SIC to say the least but best of all it was his idea & he gave me the board he used afterwards & I still have it. (KRONIX- One Psychotic Mind) If it was there FRANKIE would take on ANYTHING w/o being dared or coerced. Simply put: "FRANKIE HILL RULES" & has earned the same level of respect as Hawk, Cab & the other "OG's" over the years although the industry(crooks) & the skating community act like he never existed. If X-Games existed back then he would've more than provided proof of my statements, earned more money & been credited him with the exceptional accomplishments that he's being snubbed for. 3:15 into video DP HS upper parking lot to lower(91) sticking the landing. 25' high 30' wide. BUT that's not noteworthy(?) You KILL it FRANKIE & they're ignorance hasnt changed you & never will. "GOLETA LOCAL FOREVER" ("OG GODFATHER OF STREET") UNDISPUTED: FRANKIE HILL

So great to see the progression. I was a fan back in the early days when he just went big. Great to see how he developed over the years.

As sketchy as his style got . You got to admit, he was pretty technical for his time. I don't think I saw anyone do a 360 bs flip before I saw this besides Rodney on the flat. Not to mention that 270 fs rail.... that 360 indy was nice too.
