he ducked benn and collins, too. basically every bad style matchup his whole career. he ruined boxing because now all the top guys do it. floyd, canelo, etc are all following in jone's hand picking footsteps.

@@jamescaleb9676 he offered liles Great money and he turned it down for a bigger offer and Roy left the table, that's well documented. As for Collins he was a tough guy but nobody on either side other than some Irish Stan's believed he had a shot. He was scared of Steve but not toney?. Nigel Benn said he was fine being number 2 to toy..and eubank said he didn't want to die fighting Roy Jones i.e. it would take years off his life. He fought tarver 3x something tells me he would've tried anyone for the right price. Steve then got busted up in sparring and was forced to retire then tried Roy 2 years later in 99' after 2 years out of the ring..what was the point? Steve didn't have the power to fret Roy, he didn't have the foot speed, he had a massive will and that was about it. I like Steve especially his victories over eubank but he probably wouldve been worse for ware with a rjj fight in the late 90's

@@shinske3564 you apparently never heard a story you didn't believe. ok. its a coincidence that roy never fought a single bad style match up until tarver. the 5 or 6 other champs who called him out constantly are the ones at fault. your hero roy is a saint.

Jones had trouble with southpaws!!!? At one point he beat 6-7 southpaws back to back!!!!!. And beat Liles in the amateurs. All due respect to Liles, but HBO admitted he refused a fight with Roy. Collins did too. Roy = G.o.at!!!

Roy offered likes 85 15 split for a unification which is the oldest trick in the book. Make an insulting offer he can’t accept then say he doesn’t want it. Works on stupid fanboys though which is why boxing is a broken sport.
