I always did like the new spider more than the first one (although the first suit and it’s logos were amazing) but it was cool seeing how Sam didn’t mind the logo making more of a dramatic statement but he wanted the artistic aspect of filming the costume to be kept intact. Sam Raimi is such an icon and I’m glad he was our original Spider-Man director.

Onur personally for me its second best i prefer the suit from the first movie i prefer the smaller chest spider and the fatter back spider and how the webs while yes their still silver but their a darker silver like a gunmetal silver and the eys are slightly bigger but i still like the spiderman 2 suit i still think its the second best suit i love all the raimi suit first one from spiderman 1 is my favourite like them all though

@@jayparker8490 It wasn't made quickly. Spider-Man 1 takes place over a year, he's 17 at the start of the movie and 18 by the end of it. Spider-Man 2 takes place 2 years after SM1 making him 20 at the start of it. He's got more than enough time to make the suit in both the films.

Love this suit and the amazing Spider-Man suits. It's interesting watching the behind the scenes videos for the suits and seeing how the costume designers for Raimi and the Webb had different goals/perspectives for the suit. For example how Raimi was making the spider logos pop out more with the thick webbing and rubber material of the suit, and in general making the suit as flexible as possible. Marc Webb on the other hand focused on making the suits more realistic with a slimmer design for the webbing and making the suit look more comic accurate.

This suit was truly an amazing work of art. Spider-Man being one of the first legitimate and big budget Marvel superhero movies after X-Men but the first one that required a rendition of such an iconic suit, they really did a damn good job providing a faithful yet modernized design for the suit especially for that time period. My favorite to this day is the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man 2 suit with the big eyes but this tobey suit is still so iconic and engrained in my head as THE movie Spider-Man suit. I remember absolutely loving the eyes as I’m sure it was difficult coming up with Spider-Man’s eyes during that time period without it looking odd and not corny which the way they sharpened the eyes to be more triangular was so smart and gave the suit a very tough badass look while maintaining the iconic spidey eyesb

The 2004 model Raimi suit is and always will be my #1 favorite superhero costume and honestly the best Spidey suit in live action for me personally. Idk what it is about this version of the costume, but it just looks very homegrown much like the character. Y’know, some people tend to undersell the costume because they claim it’s not comic book accurate enough and honestly that’s nonesense and I kinda wanna put that claim to bed. James Acheson and Paul Spadone’s design of the Spider-Man suit from the Raimi trilogy surprisingly borrows a lot of inspiration from the first and original Steve Ditko Spidey suit from Amazing Fantasy #15. With its smaller and aggressive looking eye lenses, vibrant cherry red and midnight blue (almost black) color schemes, bulky muscle definition, and enlarged spider emblems, this version of the costume is more comic book accurate than you think and though Maguire’s suits are relatively low tech compared to Garfield and Holland’s costumes, I also love it for that reason as well. It’s very well in line with the everyman quality that’s always been the cornerstone of his character since 1962.

It's interesting how James Acheson didn't kept the same suit of 2002 for the filming of the second movie, as well as the suit of the third movie has some tweaks in the muscle (neck is shorter and shoulders look hunched) We even see Raimi raising the frontal spider emblem so the lower spider legs don't get cut by the aspect ratio
