@LifeOfRy3 жыл бұрын
@@kirkreviews7774 I know for SURE the design of them is _slightly_ altered from what I can tell in the No Way Home trailer. The junction between the actual “claw” and the arm section itself looks... different. I revisited Spider-Man 2 to confirm this. It was only the first trailer so for all we know they could still be touching up the design, and it’s not to say they were never cgi with Raimi in SOME scenes, eg when they’re all tussling and writhing around like snakes during the hospital scene as that kind of movement fluidity just couldn’t be achieved with puppetry. But yeah, I have a gut feeling with all the stuff they are trying to do with No Way Home, they just simply haven’t had the time to go the painstaking route and use practical like they were the first time round. It was an arduous process to achieve what they did with Spider-Man 2 with up to 16 puppeteers controlling them all, so it was a pretty tall order. Only time will tell.
@kirkreviews77743 жыл бұрын
@@LifeOfRyyes I know he used CG for some scenes and it's normal but most of the scenes were just realistic to look at. I agree with the time. They don't have enough time to do all that stuff since MCU is all about moving on the next movie or phase especially with the changes that we got right now. 4 movies and 6 tv shows in a year is a lot to work with. Unlike before, Sam Raimi is doing his thing and focused on making a good story rather than thinking about the whole franchise and being in a hurry because of the deadlines. Although Spider-Man 3 did not end up that well because of Sony's greediness and interference, I still highly respect his craft and him as a director. I'm excited for the NWH and for Doctor Strange 2, but yes, we will never see this type of practicality in any SuperHero movies in terms of story telling again.
@LifeOfRy3 жыл бұрын
@@kirkreviews7774 you’re spot on with all that. It’s a shame that craftsmanship gets compromised because of interference from studios or financial issues etc, whatever the reason is. Sam Raimi cemented his legacy as a filmmaker with his Spidey trilogy and Doc Ock is an absolute marvel to watch (no pun intended). I THINK I’ve heard - and I don’t know how true this is - that Raimi has had SOME kind of input or involvement in No Way Home. Considering it’s some of his characters returning I would expect that. But I could be mistaken. I’m thrilled that he’s helming MoM as that is directly linked to NWH, so it stands to reason he has had some kind of involvement, one way or another. I PRAY Jon Watts doesn’t sully Willem Dafoe’s Goblin, Alfred Molina’s Ock and the rest of the villains. I don’t know how I feel about Homecoming and Far From Home, but perhaps that’s down to it being the MCU take which is cuddly and cute, compared to Raimi’s which was raw and brutal (final fight at end of first movie is prime example: no music, brutal fight choreography, dark ending).
