Imo headphone jack is very important to me. I dont use dual sim (i dont have money to reload both sim lol) and nowadays, phone has 128gb storage which is plenty. Having sd card slot definitely a convenience, but I already has usb c to sd card reader for quick transfer. Realme gt has headphone jack, it might steal some market share from redmi k40 pro

@@oneofthesidemen Snapdragon 870 is of course off the table if compared with the likes of Dimensity 820, SD 732, and SD 765. Dimensity 820 has higher benchmark scores than SD 765. @@wutttt7661 Actually i will choose SD 732g over dimensity 820 coz 820 has some serious heating issue...in some reviews i saw..after playing 1 hour of gaming the back of the phone goes above 50°C and the chip itself goes like 70°C+...So not good for long term use...i will definitely choose a weaker but stable processor over powerful but not stable processor anyday but yeah if xiaomi use little bit better processor/similar SD765(without 5G for cutting the price) would have been better

K40 series seems good with the upgraded chipset and high refresh rate but there are a lot of stepbacks from the older K30 series which had an aluminum frame whereas the J40 has plastic and the K30's in-display fingerprint sensor to the K40's side mounted one. Weird.

Maybe to keep the cost down as I think the K30 Pro cost quite a bit more on release. I agree though, you should never downgrade anything for a successor to a phone.

You dont need to see the camera comparsion for the K40 non pro. It uses a IMX582 sensor. That is a completly entry level sensor used in ~100 dollar devices. It´s bad. The Note 10 Pro makes much better photos. If you need a good camera k40 non pro should never be an option

I think most companies are moving away from pop up cameras, so it's going to be a few years until we will see no punch hole displays with under display cameras.

@@FrankieTech There are usually only a few, I know. Kind of hoped that the Poco F3 would be like that but it's smaller also. I think Samsung will have an other generation of the main camera flips to the front solution this year I am just a xiaomi girl and kind of hoped they would also do at least one or two full screened phones. Or even a lefty punch hole on a 6.9 inch screen. I could learn to live with that. But after the Max I don't see myself going back to a smaller screen.

Not everyone might notice the performance difference but the difference is definitely there. If you are the type of person who speeds up or disables animations (like myself), definitely go for a flagship chip. Even an 855 annihilates a 730 class chip in my personal experience

Both phones are great, and pretty much the only thing that steers you away from the note 10 pro. Is the performance of the 888. Which is truly amazing! And for me the pick here would have to be the note 10 pro. Because you also get a headphone jack and SD card support. In many ways the note 10 pro is no brainer! I think Xiaomi have done it again, they have made the note 10 pro too good. Just like what happened with the k20 pro two yrs ago. On point Frankie👌👌

I think the prices aren't that much of a hurdle for anyone considering these two especially if you consider the K40 rather than the Pro. Leaks have revealed that the K40 would cost 240-260 USD for the 6+128 which is extremely great considering for that price the Note only gives you a 6+64 variant. Also the battery would obviously be a little bit better on the Note maybe at 20 mins. at most since it's processor isn't as efficient as the 870 or the 888. Now let's talk cameras I mean 48 vs 108 kinda feels overwhelming although you should consider the chipsets again (yes the chipsets can change the tides) the megapixel count of the Note is great trust me but the processing power which creates the final result would still go to the K40 but overall the Note's would still be better but not as you probably would've expected. Lastly, gaming definitely a big gap. The 732 isn't a bad chipset, it's already better than the the 730 which is already better than the the 720 which is one of the best midrange chipsets you can get but this the 870 we're talking about. Some might be wondering how good could it be the answer is it's better than the 865+ which is already better than the flagship chipset the 865 (the chipset used by the 1+ 8 pro, S20 Ultra, Mi 10 Ultra and many more). There's also 5g if you're into those but I think I already made my point. Only thing left is wait for the Global version which is releasing this month or early next month. Maybe you should also consider the Poco X4 but there are basically no leaks for that right now.
