There is a huge study that was done in India in early 2000s. It was groundbreaking & showed that BOSWELLIA strengthens the lungs & has steroidal action in the body (no side effects). Study was registered on NCBI website but I would be surprised if it's still there. It's very safe for everyone (even babies/elderly). Started my asthmatic son (over 100lbs) on it (one 500mg cap. AM & PM) & he literally never needed nebulizer or singular ever again. I was floored & did not expect any benefits that fast! BONUS - his IBS-d gradually disappeared . PRAISE GOD!! Its improved our allergies (not gone). We will take it 2x a day for the rest of our lives❤❤❤ They make 250mg that is great for kids. Kids can learn to swallow pills, but u can stir it into yogurt or applesauce- so long as they are getting it all. Always take it with food & vitC helps activate it

Hi Heidi, I love your channel - so much great info! I had a question - What are your thoughts on combining Frankincense, Myrrh, and turmeric into an oil infusion? I have some skin issues I’m trying to get relief from, and I’ve heard that all three of these have strong healing properties. In your opinion, would it be a good idea to combine all three for one infusion, or use them separately? Also trying to figure out amounts that would be best to use. Thanks!
@HeidiVillegas5 ай бұрын
That's a great combo! Just keep in mind the turmeric may stain. You can combine them all....or make them separately then combine. That latter way would be the way I would choose, because then you can adjust the amount of turmeric infused oil.

Thank you for the informative video Heidi. If you want to add frankincense essential oil to frankincense infused oil what ratio would you recommend?
@HeidiVillegas9 ай бұрын
I can't give you an exact amount because: The dilution you choose is going to depend on a number of factors: how much of the infused oil you're using, the age of the person/animal you're working with, the size of the person/animal, the needs of the person/animal (including constitution) and also what your intention is for the oil. For example, pain relief, grounding/meditation, focus/clarity, mood, skincare, and others..... All of these contribute to determining the number of drops you'll need. I teach aromatherapy in our school, and our new course Aromatherapy level 1 certification is coming out soon! But I address safety and dilution in the Tribe and also in the Ditch the Drugstore course as well.

@HeidiVillegas9 ай бұрын
Hi, NG---- I love solar infusions, to be honest. There's something about the energy of the sun.... BUT no----I wouldn't put it in direct sunlight as you don't want to "cook" your oil. Can you use castor oil in place of the olive oil?
@HeidiVillegas6 ай бұрын
I'm not a fan of castor oil as an extractant....I would cut it with another good carrier (my own opinion, of course).

How much should you add to your skincare mix?

It depends on what you're making and how much you'd like. :-)

Would you also make this with Caster oil??
@HeidiVillegas2 ай бұрын
You could cut a bit into the olive oil, but I wouldn't use all castor oil as it won't extract as many of the plant constituents.

Can u ingest the acids orally?
@HeidiVillegas9 ай бұрын
They're usually extracted in a lab and standardized for capsules. In this way, yes. But I don't recommend powdering the resin and adding it to foods, etc. on your own. Do some research on this....In the meantime, look for good supplements from reputable companies that source from cultivated farms.

Personally, there's censorship going on right now, and I know herbalists who have been shut down. I avoid any discussion about three different "hot" topics and that's one of them. I make no promise of cure, treatment, diagnosis, or prevention, and I'm not a medical doctor. :-)

Hello Heidi. Thank you for this video- so informative! I followed your recipe here , would like to use for facial skin issue. Would it be best to use as is - infused oil, or make into a facial skin cream? Thank you so much- you are a wonderful teacher. 🙏🏻
@HeidiVillegas8 ай бұрын
You can certainly use the oil as is, although I'm more likely to formulate with combinations of carriers that are helpful for skin health. And thank you so much for the comment!

can this be used in castor oil
@HeidiVillegas9 ай бұрын
I wouldn't use castor oil due to its viscosity, but it would be fine to add a bit in at the end or into salves if you're making them. You could experiment with small amounts in the infusion too, say 1:8 castor oil to your carrier oil, for example.

Do you have to use the crockpot or can you just let it sit
@HeidiVillegas5 ай бұрын
You can just let it macerate/steep for several weeks if you don't want to use the crock pot.
@shoemedofrag2 ай бұрын
I'm just starting out on my journey, it's been a year since the first time I bought resins and I still don't own a crock pot so what I do is I DIY something like a bain marie (double boiler?) for maybe an hour or 2 and then I let it sit and I use something like a syringe to extract what I need into a different smaller container. I simply add new oil or newer resins into the same container. I haven't thrown out anything yet. I'm not sure if I should though but so far so good!

how long does the resin last?
@HeidiVillegas9 ай бұрын
Being a resin, if it's stored properly and is of high quality, it might last up to five years or so. And if it gets "older" it's wonderful in incense!
