An arrangement for this traditional song in DADGAD tuning, dedicated to an Open Mic Zoom-Hero who wants to learn the song, and who has helped us keep sane during Lockdown isolation. Good luck with the song Pete!

Gorgeous. Starting to learn DADGAD, myself. Although, not a fingerpicker, just yet.

Spot on Jim - I’ve wanted to learn this for years and so glad you did it in Dadgad - nice version, any possibility of getting the tab for the picking pattern please?
@Lowdenjim3 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew - I don't use Tablature and have always relied on "playing by ear". To tab this i'd need to play it at 75% and note the order of strings picked. Fortunately, choosing 75% in the settings keeps the same key so you might find it ok to follow yourself. If you need help with it let me know. Good luck!

Lovely fingerpicking. A very powerful song. Are you going to make a tutorial?
@Lowdenjim3 жыл бұрын
Either a tutorial or some slow-mo close-ups Martin. Thank you for your nice comment.

I guess Dylan used this melody in this "Bob Dylan's Dream" song.

Yes, and the boat/dream idea he translated into a train/dream theme. Thanks for listening Johny.

It’s one of those Dylan songs I hear once in awhile that remind me that he is a genius, was a prodigy. Your vocal is great, the accompaniment sweet. I have difficulty taking myself seriously singing about Lord Franklin - I am originally from Brooklyn, New York, and every bit of me oozes the vibe of that borough as it was when I first heard “Bob Dylan’s Dream,” 50 years ago. So I’ll just borrow your lovely accompaniment and play it when I miss my own friends and sing “Bob Dylan’s Dream” in their honor.
