A fantastic six mile loop hike through the forests and wetlands of Franklin Parker Preserve in the globally significant New Jersey Pinelands biosphere. Franklin Parker Preserve is home to at least 50 rare, threatened, or endangered species and features cranberry bogs, cedar swamps, and pitch pine forests. This is a truly unique and special place and provides some of the very best hiking opportunities in southern New Jersey. #natureadventurediscovery

Hmm, a mix of Michigan and Florida, now that sounds interesting. It's hard for me to get the time to travel in anywhere close to the capacity I would like to, but Northern Michigan is absolutely at the top of my list of destinations and I will get there someday soon. And congrats again on the wonderful news!

Well said Kevin. I try to get as much diversity in my hikes as possible. I like to see a little of this and a little of that. One thing that is great about the pines is that even in winter this a lot of greenery. I would have really liked to do this hike with some snow on the ground I think that would have looked really neat but it wasn't meant to be.

Mario I appreciate that very much. One thing I always say is that we can't control the weather. Maybe anticipate, and prepare, but not control. I know that you as a filmmaker yourself understand and appreciate the value of lighting and the difference a change in conditions can make in the mood of a film!

What a cool spot, almost looks like mid summer in the beginning of the video. I can imagine the bugs there are intense. You’ve filmed some really cool stuff in NJ. It’s hard for me to go that direction with ever-rising turnpike tolls. One of these days I’ll make it out there.

If you ever make it to the Jersey shore again it's worth stopping and checking out. Jersey has probably been the biggest pleasant surprise for me in terms of places that have consistently exceeded expectations. And for me it is a much more accessible region than most of PA actually. I have been trying to come up with a slogan similar to "scenic Pennsylvania" for NJ but haven't come up with anything yet, lol.

I'm not going to go out of my way to specifically film there but I'm not going to shy away from it either. I think it's total b.s. The reality is they are not looking at channels of my size that get a couple hundred views a video. Im also confident that this ruling will eventually be reversed by a higher court. I mean let's put this into context, with all the issues in the world, with the fact that there are 100 million KZbin channels, and 2 billion users, the feds are going to come knocking on my door for a video of me walking through the woods and showing nature? No I don't think so. And quite frankly if that did happen I could probably publicize the issue and increase the size of my channel 10 fold. I'm not doing anything wrong morally which is what matters to me most, laws and rules change over time, and I will continue to do what I do.
