Ok, I had a super fun watch. I'm not that into reggeaton, but I did grew up with Daddy Yankee. He's from the era in which, within the genre" these rappers were expected to be able to hold a tune more or less, due to the nature of the genre. What I think are the best Daddy Yankee songs were not on the list. But, yeah, it was nice doing this mini dive, specially since he retired this year :C

So: here in Spanish we have the common saying that someone's attractivenes hit you like a punch. To up the compliment a notch, when someone is unbeliavable hot, its compared or called something very big that if it hits you, it will hit you more than badly: for instance, in Argentina we may call "camión", literally "truck" a model-level hot girl: "es un camión" "she's a truck", or even apply it to the first as in "she hits you like a truck" or something along those lines. There are a lot of versions and we tend to get creative. Yet, it can get simplified to the very essence which is "hard hit" and "hard object", which can then be summarized then as "hard". For you, it's the "hard" that references objects or surfaces toughness, not "hard" meaning "difficult". So basically, if a girl is "dura" it has a layered meaning: 1-she's so attractive that her attractiveness hit you like a truck (or whatever other thing it may be used in other countries) and 2-the play of words make reference that she is young and fit, as young people's body tend to have harder muscles and very tight skin, in other words, in terms of consistency, young fit bodies are "hard". So the girs is "dura", literally. The thought process is the same. It's difficult to explain, but it makes sense to us.

So yeah, that side to side is part a perreo move though not the basic one. I don't know with later vids, but yeah, the girls aren't supposed to be twerking. Twerk is of your culture, and here we've been warming up to it and started to partake. But Latin America, specially Puerto Rico and Costa Rica, have their "perreo". And it's a different dance.
