Jack Benny always said it doesn’t matter who gets the laugh as long as there’s a laugh because the next morning everyone will be saying, “did you hear the JACK BENNY show last night?

That self depreciating humor of Jack Benny’s allowing other people to step on him, step on his lines is what made him so great. Go for the laugh, even at your own expense. So unlike Bob Hope who had to have the all the laughs which, in my opinion weren’t many….
