My grandpa’s a good singer but he’d never sing in front of others. Growing up I would sometimes hear him sing to himself in his room in the afternoon, it always made me feel connected to him somehow. He has a hard time speaking the way he used to since his cerebral stroke and I miss talking to him like before let alone hearing him sing. Listening to this made me so emotional. I've never had the opportunity to have someone I call "grandad" and currently don't have a good relationship with my dad. This feels like a big step back to take it all in and just breath for a few minutes. A way to just listen and calm down. To see and hear someone who is just living and thriving and decided to learn a beautiful song for people to hear. My dad is a bit old school in the way that he almost refuses to learn and understand new things. It's a major struggle for me and is the reason I'm not the best spot right now.
