Today we will be crafting a dnd house from a milk carton. It’s a cheap and easy build that I’m sure you will come to enjoy. I think that some of my favorite builds are those that are versatile. This is definitely one of those projects. Crafting houses for tabletop role-playing games is a must have. Hope to see you on the next one fam.

[top secret tip] Between the wire brush and drawing woodgrain is the plastic comb method. Remove the very ends of a plastic comb - which are wider than the actual teeth. After you've scored in your plank lines drag the comb across the foam, with a little wiggle you get very convincing grain. Most plastic combs have two different sizes of teeth, so you can produce to different scales of woodgrain [sshh! don't tell anyone!]

The shingle texture came out awesome with that hot knife. That lattice pattern works well with the windows too. Run a little LED light in there and boom! Glowing hearth beckons weary travellers.

This is really cool stuff. This makes me feel like I can craft stuff myself. I wish I could paint like that though.

samtico if you look at my first video, I had no confidence in painting. I can do a video on what I’ve learned as a painter? If that something you are interested on, maybe start building some confidence?

Franky D. Crafter thanks franky! Appreciate it! Yeah I feel like that was always a big barrier for me to ever making anything like a model. Painting was hard and I would be frustrated with how my thing turned out versus what I would see in pics. It was even worse if I felt like I messed up a certain part. No eraser there 😅

samtico I know what you mean. A great mindset about painting is to think you can always paint over something. And do thin coats. I’ll work on the video, but heads up. I’m usually ahead on my videos so what i work on now won’t come out till two weeks from now. It’s just the way I stay ahead of schedule. If you don’t mind waiting.

TheDungeonMattster I love it. It’s so much easier to build around it. And it keeps all my dimensions the same, I don’t have to worry about anything structure wise.

Very awesome. I have decided on the kelpie stable that I will not be making a clear base surrounding it with the base filled with resin. It would cost to much. So I am doing the items that I was going to put in the base as random scatter terrain. When done I will send you a picture or 2 & get your opinion if you don't mind? Your work always is very enlightening. Keep them coming.

Is there anything you can use instead of grout for texture?
@FrankyDCrafter
@FrankyDCrafter 3 жыл бұрын
You could use pva glue and baking soda. Or pva glue and very fine sand works really well too.
