I don’t feel bad watching the hauls because I live vicariously through others because I don’t need to always shop to get the thrill of looking at new stuff. No, seriously, I love hauls because I get a window into someone else’s life. Unless, of course, the person is giving you a selling pitch then I am less interested.
@sues14464 жыл бұрын
Sometimes when I feel like I would like to go shopping, it's not about buying things to own them but more about beeing curious "what ist out there" and about enjoying seeing cute stuff. :D So hauls rather help me not to buy stuff, because the "visual suprise side" of shopping is satisfied xD If this makes any sense.

I love your hair! Beautiful. I love hauls, I never feel bad seeing a haul. If anything they save money because I am able to live vicariously through watching other people buy stuff I can't afford. Also it helps me make better choices in what I may actually buy in the future.

Fran!! I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned this in the comments, but the extra special thing about your new しりとりbook (about all the foods) is that しりとりis actually a game! The way you play the game is if you say a word, then another person has to use the last letter from the word and say a word that starts with that letter! So I think your food book is even more amazing! There is only 1 way to lose the しりとり game. That is if you say a word that ends in ’ん’。 So for example, if one person says りんご, the next person can say, ごま、then another person can continue the game and find a word that starts with ま etc. etc. Cool find!

The glue reminds me of my childhood for sure. I use to used in a tub form, only the head part of the doll, if I'm not mistaken it came with the small scoopy thingy (small plastic spoon) to scoop the glue. I just noticed from your vlog that it came from Japan. I remembered I used it when I was in kindergarden to some time in my early year of elementary for arts and crafts at my school way waaay back in the 80s. Man, what a great memory. Thanks Fran, for sharing all those lovely stationary hauls. Looove the pink hair giiirl.

About the red cap of the glue - the original packaging of the glue is only the "head" of that character and the red cap is the lid. to use the glue you open the cap stick your fingers into the container to scope out the thick glue and spread it on the paper with your fingers. It's mostly use by kid for like art craft and stuff. I use it when i was in kindergarten and i still remember the scent of this glue 😭 Now they put the red cap on the new packaging&glue formula to pay homage to the old packaging adding a touch of nostalgia.

The Fueki-kun glue is normally a paste glue, and it's usually just his head (no body), and the cap is the lid. So I think the cap being removable is just a throwback to the original glue. :) But you can totally use it for that purpose too!!! :D

That verb book is brilliant! I live in Japan and I loved seeing what you took away from your visit here. I also read kids books here since they are all in hiragana. Thanks for sharing! If you ever have any questions about Japan or Japanese stationery products just message me and I would be happy to try and help! For instance, did you know the fruit and veg book is written as a 'shiritori' game, it is a really simple word game where each person says a word and the next person has to say a word starting with whichever sound the last word ended. Am I making sense? Like... retaSU-suiKA-kabocha etc. Xxx
