If he busks this a lot it will become unbelievable; the voice, already good, will catch up with the guitar. Really exciting!

@@FranoTv Your Nine Pound Hammer made me so intrigued about the origins of the song and about what's really going on in the lyrics, which to me seem a guy talking to himself while doing a really boring dirty job and wanting to get the eff out of there. Not sure this is right of course, but anyway here is the original version kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6u2pJKkbrWNd9E. It's at a tempo that is familiar if you've ever heard any of the 1920s Louis Armstrong Hot Five and Hot Seven recordings. Have you ever seen Coal Miner's Daughter? Probably not, but it is about Loretta Lynn, who was a phenomenal country singer who caught on starting at the very beginning of the 60s. (She could absolutely blast right on pitch.) The early scenes of the movie give you a little bit of a picture of what coal mining towns were like before 1950. Merle Travis might have even spent some time in one of those Kentucky coal towns.
