There are so many things that can be said of these pictures--for me--the incredible drawing with paint and the colors!! I swoon over the background colors. Truly one of the greats of painting

Marvelous! didn't know that this was on but I am definitely going to go to see it now. There's a Hals portrait in the Fitzwilliam Museum, near me, and I'm always going to visit it, though nobody else ever seems to be very interested. A whole exhibition of these portraits will be a real treat. Thanks!

Awesome Waldy. If it weren't on the other side of the ocean, I would very much enjoy seeing that show. I spent the last week of September in the wilds of Northern Ontario. No TV, no radio, no phone. But I did have every episode of Waldy & Bendy's Art Adventures downloaded to help keep me entertained ( and a bit educated too ). I think you need to do a film about visiting Bendor's farm. I do hope there are more episodes of the podcast in the future.

Nou ik denk het niet, Waldemar ,het was leerzaam ,maar historie zal altijd een zweem van ,niet te doorgronden, althans voor mij dan,heb al veel tijd gestoken in verleden en wat nog staat te gebeuren, ik ga mijn tijd niet meer in het internet steken , heb het nu wel gezien, kortom gezegd stippel ik mijn eigen weg ,die paar maanden wat nog rest voordat het weer lente wordt heb ik nodig en om niet afgeleid te worden zal ik jammer genoeg een punt erachter zetten , mede omdat velen niet zijn wie ze zijn, ben al die leugens meer dan zat , wil mij meer op mijn Schepper richten de bijbel doorgronden vind ik belangrijker dan een Frans hals, of Mona , zal meer kijken naar de Azteken/ Maya / Inka’s,Egypte en hun symbolen zoals Jesa Champiorpi , dank voor wat je mij hebt laten zien ,vooral Polen vond ik interessant,ik ben er in 1959 geweest als 6 jarige en de herinnering was bittere armoede ,daarom vond ik het zo mooi al die tekeningen / schilderijen hun klederdrachten hun karakters die eruit sprak, hoop dat hun gastvrijheid nooit verdwijnt dat het nooit een verjubellende regering krijgt zoals in Nederland waar blijkbaar niet veel meer heiligs is ,dat het oerbos intact blijft en niet zo als hier versjacherd wordt ,dat mooie oude gebouwen van hout nooit aan slopers handen te prooi vallen , dag Waldemar of ik helemaal verdwijn van internet weet ik niet maar zal wel veel van die figuren en mijn account zal ik sowieso veranderen ,heb de wereld nu genoeg verteld dacht ik zo, volgens mij sta je nu van vreugde te dansen ,eindelijk van verlost denk je niet 👋😅 misschien een paar vergeet-mij-nietjes

Maybe they were actually uglier in real life and he really made them look better than in real life.
