5TON Tankette DESTROYS 50TON Tank!! - Sprocket Gameplay

Lets build a small tankette. I wanted to try this out because I hadn't actually make anything with really skinny tracks yet. While this tankette would be an interwar tank, I have built it in the mid war scenario. Meaning its a little bit more efficient.

To be honest them all work horribly and he doesn't put much detail or care into it, like this tank not even going into 2nd gear and constantly suffering to do so. BUT !!! And a big BUT, for someone that has no idea about tanks his designs are so fucking cool and creative, i love the shapes and concepts. Thats why i am here. I don't wanna ve so harsh on him.

It's a game of balancing... if the turret is too big, the tank will be heavy... if it's too small, you wont be able to put crew and gun in it... and so on

just in case no one gets it which most of you will, the tank looks like a cute sprocket version of the Type 89 I-Go used by the Japanese empire in WW2, but there are two more type 89, mainly the Howa Type 89 rifle and the Mitsubishi Type 89 IFV, which both were used by the JSDF aka modern japan, soooooo yeah i go now

Frantic, you need more gears, cause you are using transmission that uses different gears on tracks to steer, so if you have one slow and one really fast gear, and you want to steer right, engine doesn't have that much power to kick the left track into higher gear Just don't make huge difference in ratios, or use simple powertrain (one transmission and clutch-packs to steer)

The gun mount volume was caused by the elevation mechanism, which allowed your gun to elevate at 270 ish degrees a second. Especially in early war you don't need/expect much more than 2 to 10. Assuming it is 10 and you have a good gun elevation range of -10 till + 20, then it'll only take 3 seconds at most for the gun to elivate to the correct angle.

I have a ridiculous idea, what about making a crazy smooth tank meaning no accessories on the top of the tank neither the turret, but instead keep them all on the bottom of the hull (on the belly if possible) and make the ground clearance pretty high. Please do this if it's possible

Great misuse of tankette What a tankette is is a light tank ONLY armed with machineguns, they never have canons, just because a tank is light doesn't make it a tankette

The story of this specific tank is it was once Japanese but was captured during one of the border clashes in Manchuria and was repurposed as a Soviet Tank. It fought on the Eastern Front and barely made it through Barbarossa before it was shipped to the KSSR as a Garrison vehicle. It became a part of one of the many tank museums in Russia Post-war. Just a personal Headcanon.
