My Coven respects Franz Bardon greatly, and Initiation To Hermetics is one of our 2nd year textbooks. Frabato The Magician, his novel, is not only entertaining but shows the work of Initiation in practice. The newer editions of his works are easier to understand for sure, and hopefully they will all return to print and stay that way. It's such a shame his Work was cut short by an authoritarian regime- so many further books and teachings were also lost. Thanks for a great video!

7:17 Actually, just to clarify: Bardon's elemental colors were RED for Fire (Sight), GREEN for WATER (Touch), BLUE for AIR (Hearing), YELLOW for Earth (Taste & Touch), and INDIGO for Akasha (All 5 Senses Combined). He basically followed the Samkhya Philosophy on the colors and shapes of the Mahabhutas (4 Elements) plus the the 5th, AKASHA (Spirit/Space), but changed the sense perception correspondences for some reason.

And when I say understand before you move on, I really mean have that knowledge pat down! Otherwise, you will get lost!!! I may be mistaken but it was the golden dawn that introduced the tattwas into the western world.

🔴On the Left Hand Path side of things, Michael Kelly teaches a system that similarly emphasizes mental development and one's own will as the primary source of magical power, first published in the book "Apophis." Apparently he drew mainly from his own experience in the Order of Leviathan in the Temple of Set. Unlike Bardon he leaves the choice of symbol system up to the individual (in true LHP fashion) though he does recommend using a traditional system such as the runes.

I agree with Bardon that Air's color is blue-the color associated with wisdom and heaven-and Earth is yellow, although I would rather associate the latter with orange which is related to brown (dark orange) and the opposite of color blue (as well as the fact that Air is the counterpart of Earth). For this reason, also, I associate Water with the color green i.e. opposite of the color red (Fire). Blue & Red - primary colors, masculine; Orange & Green - secondary colors, feminine.

○ So, about 20 years ago I learned stuff about Bardon from two groups that didn't know about each other, one group located close to Stuttgard, the other group close to Cologne, I was a member of the latter group. To keep it short, Bardon was a member of Dr. Musalam's Adonism, which was connected to the Pansophic Society of Berlin and Ra Omir Quintscher's "Orden der mentalistischen Bauherren". After becoming a Fellow Craft (in german: "Geselle") of that group, Bardon got his hands on the material for masters, stole it and left the group. As usual, that material was protected against the uninitiated by little mistakes woven into it. Learning how to spot those mistakes and correct them was part of the initiation into the master's degree. AFAIK those mistakes can still be found in Bardon's books as if they were no mistakes, but they make the whole thing appear a little skewed. So it might be interesting for academic purposes to compare Bardon to the OMB, Quintscher, the Adonists and subsequently the early Fraternitas Saturni, because in the early days of the FS Quintscher joined them and asked the members of the OMB to do the same. XOXO Thanks, Angel, and keep up the good work.

The concept of "the true system" originates from Franz Bardon, who was an adept from the East and incarnated into Eastern Europe. He assimilated the occult knowledge of Western Europe and infused it with a "Western spin" to a great extent. The Franz Bardon group is largely unknown to the public and is extensive. Franz Bardon has faced substantial criticism, even from sincere students, particularly for not mentioning topics such as meat consumption and sexual practices as a barrier to progress. It is widely recognized that consuming meat impacts the astral body and consequently meditation practices, as do sexual relationships. The material makes perfect sense when you parallel his work with yoga material, especially Swami Sivananda, and IIH should be indeed stacked with another practice like this (e.g Raja, Hatha, Kriya yoga)

The problem with such systems is that spiritual development, growth and awakening is highly individual! So it is non-transferable! Every adept has to develop his own steps and system because steps can be similar but process is dependent on individual's inner states. So learning any spiritual system by brain means NOTHING and gives no result! Everything must be used practically and individuated to the adepts situation, state, obstacles, individual life path!

Such systems speaks very little about proper practice and especially obstacles in spiritual development which could be successfully overcome by appropriate preparation.
