wwssjyyeung It is slower, but another thing they do which is quite awkward is instead of gradually slowing it down they go immediately into the slower tempo, which I don't think works well

Paul gradually got older, hence the tempo decrease. No offense to him tho, he rocked real good back then but hey, people change. So did the band when they introduced Audrey Tait as the new drummer.

I think the main thing is that Franz released their first album when most bands were releasing their 3rd or 4th, so they haven't aged badly, just naturally, bear in mind Alex Kapranos will be 50 in 3 years
