Wonderful tempos and interpretation to bring out the capricious side of tLiszt's supernatural Faux Follets force, But also-- especially -- your finger dexterity and the piano you're using combine to achieve remarkable, brilliant tone color on this super difficult etude. Nicely done.

Better than Kissin !……… but you need work in your PEDALLING !………… sometimes you lift and bang your foot????………and sometimes your heel even leaves the floor ????…………… I was fortunate to have been a friend of Vladimir Horowitz During My Masters Degree Years In Juilliard back in the 1970s.....I used to take walks with him near his town house on 94th Street in Manhattan Horowitz told me that he can tell a great Pianist in 20 Seconds by looking at his foot ! I never forgot that. He felt that without a perfect Mastery of Pedalling all the hard work in Finger Technique never totally makes up for that. But your Playing is fabulous and you have the delicacy that Liszt really Wrote ( I hope that you use the Budapest Edition ). It has tremendous detail in dynamics .most Pianists play the opening almost forte...which is the exact opposite of Liszt’s original notation of Piano .......and the end should be Pianissimo just as Liszt notated. Keep up the Magnificent work !……… Do you play the Schumann Toccata ?……… I will teach it to you if you don’t !

Excellent! That's a ton of hard work right there. I'm looking forward to hearing your Mazeppa and #10 Appassionata which I know will also be incredible! One thing, maybe don't use the una corda pedal so much. Its overuse subtracts from the full range of colors possible in this piece.
@m0ment219 Жыл бұрын
I noticed it too... I think it's way too hard to keep it p or pp in some passages, so it's better with una corda than it being too loud.
