1:53 cannot be appreciated at first... He reduces, further and further and then takes the turn "up" back to A minor. But later on at 4:09 he comes again at this point, reduces, further and further and this time falls down into a dreamy cycle in major.

Schubert returned to this theme in the fourth movement of the A Major Sonata D. 959. And I am so happy that he did. One of his most beautiful melodies.

is it just me or compared to beethoven, chopin, mozart and bach, schubert can sound a bit too boring to continue listetning to at times? or is it the bottle of red wine I just finished drinking making me think such a preposterous thing! ahahah cheers anyway merry christmas
