Franz Schubert - Ständchen (Serenade) arr. J. K Mertz

One of Schubert's most famous lied, Ständchen (Serenade) is found in the posthumously published song cycle Schwanengesang.
The song is converted here into a literal "song without words" by J.K Mertz, who undoubtedly got his inspiration from Liszt's arrangement for solo piano.
The guitar I am playing is a sort of "Frankenguitar", by Mark Usherovich. This is another one of those instruments I borrowed and couldn't let go! The 7th string is movable, so that one may have it floating (great for lower pitches), or as an active, fretted 7th string above the neck.
The body is in the style of Lacote, but the headstock is Stauffer, which is really the best headstock for and odd number of strings.
