Awesome Vid, You sure got to see a lot of Fraser. I didn't know half of the places you visited existed

Hi Roger, We try to present the videos how we experience the areas, and look for the less known places. We normally like them better. Cheers, karl

just watching this what a shame the old Bus time 7.10 has collapsed we were there in 2016 and i have the most awesome pic of Number 17 bus. the Logging camp was one of the highlight of Fraser and it had many many highlights
@nowhereboundtouring2 жыл бұрын
Hi Dieter, Yes, all collapsed, and returning to nature, but the thick steel items will be there for the next 100 years or so. It was good to see it all 👍 Cheers, karl

Gday Rusty, I was a bit worried about that when I was walking through. It was black water, and I couldn’t see a thing. Cheers, karl

You wonder why all the infrastructure & logging trucks weren't removed off the island at the time it finished up? Great video, thanks guys
@nowhereboundtouring3 жыл бұрын
Hi Cazz, I don’t really know, maybe it would cost too much to ship it all back, and it most likely would of been worked hard and worn out………. Thanks for watching and supporting us. Cheers, karl

Looks like a old truck called a Commer
@nowhereboundtouring3 жыл бұрын
Gday Paul, I had a look at them on the net, but couldn’t really find the same one. The front looked the same, but the back of the cab and door looked different. Maybe it was modified…. Thanks, karl

At certain times, Lake Birrabeen appears to have pink sand. It is my favourite now. Unfortunately we cannot get to all the lakes we could back in the 1980s. Too many tracks closed. Too many tracks with "assistive" technology to help people with no idea how to drive off road, to get through. Results? Badly corrugated tracks, arrogant drivers and grossly overcrowded tracks. Sorry about the rave. The Fraser I grew up with was truly wonderful. Yes, it could be more difficult. That helped keep it as beautiful as it was.
@nowhereboundtouring3 жыл бұрын
We love Birrabeen, it has a great feel about it. The island was not too busy, because of the COVID situation, which was great for us. It was the same as about 18 years ago, when we were last there. 👍

That was great, have you upgraded your camera or is it just me watching it on my iPad instead of the tv? What a great trip you’ve both had, three weeks on Fraser including Xmas. I thought I was going to see a snake amongst the machinery debris for sure, lucky you had your buckets on… You’ve really taken the truck through some tight tracks and it performed extremely well, you must be pleased. What happened to Kattys older sister you had pictured on the title slide? 😎
@nowhereboundtouring3 жыл бұрын
Gday Kevin, We are still using the same cameras, but we did use the better one a bit more on the wrecks. It does not have the same anti shake as the go pro, but takes better video, pictures and audio. We were snake wary,as there was stuff everywhere, they would of been there for sure. The truck went better than we expected, so we are very happy with it. We were very happy with Kattys new upgraded look…… we thought it was funny. Cheers, Karl & katty

Been trying to figure out how to get to postans camp can you tell us how to find it?
@nowhereboundtouring3 жыл бұрын
Hi Selina, Postans camp is south from Northern Rd. If you draw an imaginary line eastward from the most southern tip of Big Woody Island, it is just below where it intersects Northern Rd. There are two tracks leading to it off Northern Rd. 25°21.080'S, 153°03.722'E Cheers, karl

The lack of maintenance on the facilities is disgraceful. Last time we went to Fraser, we found the same. How can our government justify their disgraceful performance looking after our national parks? In the past, access and costs were much more relaxed. Now it is far more regulated and costly. Why then, are the facilities in such poor condition or not maintained at all, why are tracks closed rather than marked as difficult for experienced drivers only etc.? Sorry, I truly enjoyed your videos, and continue to be disgusted with the performance of our governments maintenance of our national parks.

@nowhereboundtouring2 жыл бұрын
Hi Russell, You can’t really change history, because it is history. In the recent history of Fraser Island, it’s name has now reverted back to its old originally accepted name, K’Gari. This is now history, as it was 4 years ago that it was officially changed 😄 Cheers, karl

how amazing they can drag machinery to a island then just leave it after making a dollar and not taking it back out and leave the place as was before. the bottom line was profit fuck the rest of shit just leave
@nowhereboundtouring3 жыл бұрын
Hey Col, Yep, that is probably it, and they would of used the equipment to death, knowing that they will be out of there reasonably soon… Thanks for watching our vids, we appreciate it 👍
