Wow! I just came here after looking at the SAY 42, which is a similar style of boat, and thinking that was the ultimate driving machine and day boat (and which looks similarly special but with more performance and better economy), but I have to say the space you get on the Frauscher both on deck and in the cabins just knocks it out of the park. Happy days!! I'd never choose to buy a boat like this but I love them to bits all the same!!!

Zeelander does some of this stuff, as does Privilege Catamarans. But neither one really goes all out with everything in one package like they do. I heard of them on a channel that does yacht and boat reviews, wasn't this in depth though. There is a boat brand here in America called Pavati that makes luxury wake boats. They hype themselves as the 'ultimate' in luxury day boating, but one of these puts them to shame. Nice job Dan.

I love the boat as it stands, but as I'm more of a fan of explorer yachts, so that the weather and season aren't the stopper, I would still love to see a fully enclosed vessel by Frauscher, catering to the explorer market. I think you could definitely keep it very sporty sylish and streamlined, but still make it more usable, by making it an all season, all weather cruising machine.

Dan, I wish you would do the walk-through video first and then it automatically go to the performance video with all the specs. That gives somebody the chance to like your video and make a comment without having to worry about how to click on the next video. I know I would personally rather watch the walkthrough of the yacht itself and then have a video about the specs and performance. BTW, back in the seventies we had an exchange student from Adelaide whose father worked in the government. Last time I talked to her she was a reporter in London.
@BoatLife_DansBoatLife Жыл бұрын
John you make a good point. I am working on an edit right now with the walkthrough first and test drive to post second. It just didn't occur to me to post in that order as I have so much fun while driving. Cheers for the tip!
@johngauntlett4915 Жыл бұрын
Dan, I know Rico and Victoria from nauti styles does their walk-through showing the yacht and then showing the specs at the end. Nick from aquaholics does about the same. The fact you break it out into two videos is impressive because you actually get to do a sea trial and then do a separate video for your walkthrough or vice versa. Your channel came recommended by KZbin with the algorithm last year and I watched a couple videos and subscribe to your channel. I very much enjoy watching your channel and your boat and Yacht reviews.

Yes, it's a dream boat (if you spec the very expensive optional hull windows), but your fake surprise about the spaciousness of the cabin is a bit unnecessary. It's a 14m boat! Of course it'll be spacious.
@BoatLife_DansBoatLife Жыл бұрын
That's the third time you have commented on one of my videos about me saying i'm being fake - are you ok dude? I was genuinely surprised at how spacious it was internally as the lines from the outside make her look so sleek and therefore you would expect a sacrifice in headroom and volume below which wasn't the case. The design is like a trick of the eyes in the way they achieve so much and i loved it!
@TheUrbanEpicure Жыл бұрын
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife I'm not keeping count, but I guess it's a pattern. I appreciate that you want manufacturers to keep giving you boats to review so you won't rip them to pieces, but sometimes your praise is a bit much, bordering on fakeness. Yes, the proportions are sleek because it's long as relatively narrow, but it's still a pretty massive boat. I've seen it out of the water, and expected that sort of interior space, if not more.

Yes perspex screen and it's not scratched it's actually warps funny on the curves when you look through it. I forgot to talk abou tthat in the video as the other Frauscher windscreens you can see through clearly. I just assumed because this is a tricky shape that the warping occurs similar to what happens on some glass windscreens. If there was one point you can knock this boat on then that is the one and only point because this thing is a work of art. True boat porn in my opinion.

Is there space for gyro marine stabilizer? I would trade the aligned screws for a stabilizer to eliminate rolling during swells. In addition, salt water from the tender's hull seems to drip on the engines. Is that ideal?
@BoatLife_DansBoatLife Жыл бұрын
Yes gyro is an option. There is a rubber base for the tender garage that directs any moisture away from the motors but i would still dry the tender off when I'm back at the marina so as to not leave moisture in the engine bay. No it's not ideal but that's the price you pay for beauty I guess. Hopefully if you own this boat you have staff waiting back at the marina to pack it up for you at the end of the day.

When I first got into yachting, I didn't know how to pronounce anything in Spain correctly. Messed up saying Ibiza, 'Uh such an uncultured American! So stupid' Mallorca, same thing. But when we got to America and people would mispronounce cities like Duluth, Withlacoochee, Tsala Apopka, Homosassa they got mad if I gave them any crap for it. They would non stop not let me live it down, but threaten to report me to the captain if I gave them ⅛ what they gave me. It occured to me that the people that give you the most crap about not knowing how to pronounce something are usually the snobbiest and/or most insecure people ever. Someone says it wrong, help them out saying it correctly. Don't sit there and immediately launch into a tirade about how uncultured another country is. Anyways, thats my rant based on your bit there in the beginning. Sorry.

I love how you made mention to height as if 5'7 is an average height these days. I'm 6'6. My 17 year old son is 6'4, our twin 12 year olds are already almost 6 feet tall, my wife is 5'11. My mom is 6 feet tall, my pops is 6'3. So a 6 foot tall cabin is a big no go for me. I'd rather save the weight and buy a day boat. If I want to sleep on the water with a bit of motorsport fun, I'd just haul my 3 sea Doo RXP up to lake Tahoe from my home in Reno Nevada, and take my uncle's absolutely ridiculous houseboat out. Myself, my dad, my brothers, cousins and uncle built it literally from scratch. My uncle found these HUUUUGE pontoons. They're 32 feet long and 8 feet in diameter. Like I said they're enormous. We framed a 40 foot long and 18 foot wide foundation and floor base, then essentially built a aerodynamic beach house on top of the thing. Im talking 106 inch TV, 8 choices of game consoles, over 10,000 watts of stereo equipment, black leather couches and stainless steel appliances baby. I freshened up a 5.9 liter 24 valve Cummins and fabbed up very efficient intake and exhaust manifolds with a very large precision turbo burning bio diesel. Overkill for a houseboat I know but it's as reliable as a Rolex, totally eco friendly, and at 1800 rpm gets this floating bachelor pad going 24 knots across smooth water. I designed the subframe and chassis myself, I'm a mechanical engineer I work for Yamaha. The housing structure itself has a MIG welded 4130 chromoly skeleton. I used 2 inch 6mm wall thickness tubes all mandrel bent at my home shop and I drilled and installed nut certs in all the pre determined places we would be bolting the siding to. We bought a bunch of 3mm galvanized sheet, glued ecofoam to both sides, hung some siding that's made from plastic bottles and bags for the outside, and simple wallpaper on the inside, with a sugar slurry I make myself. The windows are all lexan, the roof shingles are made from pressed recycled carpet foam, we draw up fresh lake Tahoe water for the hot water heater, running water, as well as the old school swamp cooler I completely rebuilt and outfitted to work in the chosen location. This houseboat could sink and everything it's built from as well as inside it, aside from a few electronics and whatnot, could be retrieved with zero impact on local wildlife. We even fill the engine with bio friendly multi grade engine oil that costs almost $20 a quart plus like I said, it runs on bio diesel as well as propane but mainly bio diesel I refine myself at home. My little refinery can squirt out 3 gallons of refined bio fuel an hour from disgusting ass fast food fryer oil. My oldest and I actually lived on the boat for 6 months while I was building a twin turbo kit for my uncle's neighbor. He has a 2009 Audi R8 with the little 4.2 liter V8 and wanted more power. I achieved that for him. Anyway, thought y'all might find our build interesting. If you have any questions, just ask I'm happy to help with any projects you may have. Just remember what boat stands for. Bust Out Another Thousand

Oh sorry mate I didn't mean to come across that way. Agree the locals Spanish people are legends. I was more stressing for the boat as he dropped his anchor on top of ours.

Depends on which currency we are talking about.? I suspect if we were talking Indonesian Rupiah it would be a Trillion. Even I'm a millionaire in Indonesia its great!

I think you're talking about the SAY 42 which I have also tested kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2e8l6CGgtWDoNU I've easily done 500hrs in flat stem bow boats and from what I saw of that video it was just poor driving. Short sharp waves, outgoing tide and high speed don't mix with this hull form. You'll just burry the bow. They have plenty of other advantages which i've demonstrated in other videos
