Tough to make this kinda personal connection with the audience in the middle of an arena, with 20,000 people trying to get their 15 minutes. Honestly, he ain't struggling for money. (I'd almost bet anyway). Those fingerless gloves ain't cheap. 😉. Plus, his style fits perfectly in the smaller; closer rooms like this one. Enjoy the laughs though brother. U make driving down I-95 much more tolerable.

could def blow up on YT in terms of followers / reach if you post crowd work more. you have the best crowdwork... ppl would just be copying you for years to come. I think they're already trying to, since crowdwork is becoming such a thing. No one else should get the spotlight like Jay for crowdwork. Sure Phil Hanleys great, Sam Morril, a lot of dudes, but no one is better than Jay. Jay embodies perfect comedy crowdwork as it relates to formal comedy as an art. edit: that is to say 'newer' crowdwork guys are almost at it like some social-media age performance people are going to rather than a comedy show. I think this is what will continue in comedy, at least for a while, because it relates to the working class in such a way thats more tactile than jokes.

@@jamesmashore yeah, 69k, really blown up. Jay is an established and successful comic. There's a bunch of stuff you can do to get out of that realm, depending on who you are and what you do. That said, do you want to? Mark Normand and Shane Gillis teeter a thin line and probably half-hate who they have to be sometimes. Comics like Jay are at a great level of success where, simply put -- it's not too much. And with too much, comes people who you don't really want as fans. That said, Jay could be in the 100-300k mark for example and not necessarily begun being recognized to the point it's exhausting. My comment was mostly a recognition of just how good his artform and a decision that *could* be pursued depending on what you want for yourself or whatever. Also, something I guess I meant more in regards to YT and passive income. Jay's owed more than 69k is also my point. Like, he's so good, but crowdwork isn't niche. Jay's comedy is niche.
