Quick question. Why did she leave? Was she bored? Cheated? Found someone else? Both of my ex's cheated on me and for some reason. They both made me suicidal, but shortly after they left. My mate's told me on a night out that "we've got the old ash back" which REALLY helped me and my mental health 😊

The first time I hear Fred it was when Annie Mac played Julie Stay on her show on BBC radio 1 and as soon as I heard it I got Burial (also one of my absolute favourite artists) vibes but the vocal elevated everything about that sound and made it something entirely different and way more emotive. I am not OK… New Year’s Eve. After wishing my friends and family a happy new year, I broke down and said ‘I am not OK’. Just moments after my 5 year old daughter wished ‘that her daddy will be happy again in 2022’. I supressed my feelings for such a long time, keeping up a strong appearance for my wife, my two beautiful daughters, my work, my family.. for everyone. The dark feelings in me - which have been part of me all my life - had won this time. But I will be OK again, it will take time, but I will be and FEEL happy again. Fred, I hope you have any idea what your music does (emotionally) with people. After hearing this live session I went from being in tears to feeling powerful and strong. Magical.

My best attempt to explain what this is for me: Like a lot of Fred’s sounds, this feels like a session performed at a distance - by the everyone watching from the back; the outsider looking in. He sees a moment in the madness - two friends sharing a glance before the music starts, that mother holding her child through the crowd - and steals it for us. The motif echoes through the scene and I always feel like I am stuck here, in this one moment, stretched out across many, for me to see, feel, and reflect.

At 21:25 of the video something touched me, not in my skin but in my soul, and when I put the translation that said,"I can't wait to see your face again" a tear fell without even understanding the English language, and when I translated another excerpt, it said"we will overcome this" at that moment this song became part of my life with this guitar solo, THANK YOU FRED FOR TOUCHING MY SOUL. OBRIGADO AMIGO 🙏🙇♂

just a beautiful genius ...only someone with a deep sense of humanity can make music that speaks to so many people..finding your music has made the last 2-3 years of isolation seem to be worth it....forever thank you , see you at la primavera barcelona and then again at electric picnic at home in Ireland. That will be special :) peace and love

Every sessions brings me to tears. I get so much joy and happiness from your music, not a single record disappoints. I annoy my family daily with your music, finding a new feeling with every chord missed but caught listening the next time round. Man, i hope you are truly happy in life as you bring so much joy into mine, ill never be able to thank you enough. “This mans giving me life!”
