I believe the reason it got the standing ovation was because Matsuyama speaks very little English but his speech was entirely in English and all the champions were highly impressed knowing how hard it must have been and from what I’ve heard was it was very impressive.

I’m in! - Come pick me up Fred, I’ll bring the beer & share epoch stories of stunning junior golf defeats that derailed my pro golf ambitions and ultimately stole my seat at the Champions Dinner table. It will be the ultimate “woulda, coulda, shoulda”, “has been that never was” degenerate golf story everybody’s already heard 1000 times. But the Busch Light will be cold and the Wingman will be charged. I’m a 44L and green just happens to me color by the way. Thanks for the invite. It will be a pleasure for you to meet me!
