Very interesting upload, i served my apprenticeship in McFarlanes Foundry in the 80's. That work separated the men from the boys!

I worked in Jones and Campbell Larbert in the seventies and it's very true the moulders had to work hard and many were on a bonus scheme God bless them all

Eventually if you can stick it out, a dying trade and skills becomes so niche you can end up being one of very few companies that can do such a specifically skilled job. So glad they are still going.

years ago there was talk of them possibly closing and there's been quite a boom since, I think it'll be open beyond my time here
