i worked at a truck stop in high school in the late 60's and we had a repair shop and recapped major truck tires so I was fully aware of all the steps he was taking. I have grown up going to many 3rd world countries and this gentleman's work was at it's finest. I was extremely impressed.

isn,t this a 2nd world country though? i always struggled with the definitions, because although they don,t have everything a 1st world country has they seem the have most of the things (maybe in a ''lesser'' form) and there is food available for most people. i come from europe and there are foodbanks and poor people here as well. love these vids, these people are so clever and creative with the things they do to make it work
@jvillebil13Ай бұрын
@@RedSampler Yes I agree with you 100% this isn't 3rd world, it's more of 2nd. That can't be aluminum. At over 1200° F, molten aluminum would eat right through that tire's 750° F ignition point. From what I understand, you also couldn't get a chunk of aluminum that large to melt in an open pan with just a large blowtorch and keep it molten. I'm thinking maybe it's Tin with a much more modest melting point around 450° F, but it's also kind of soft.

Being in the tire business my whole life, this is the dumbest thing I ever seen. Threading a tire like that will break open sooner or later. There is way too much weight and pressure on that tire. You can get away with it on a medium sized truck tire but never that big of a tire. All that work and effort is cheaper to just pay for a tire. You can buy that exact tire from country cat for $160. I bought one for $80 two weeks ago. You are talking about a few hours of work for a $80 tire? Hell no. Not to mention, you still have a used tire with very little life left. I just don’t get why they do this in India?
@javedsultan483016 күн бұрын
you don't know anything this method is very efficient
@UnientityYoutube16 күн бұрын
@ No your right. I am only in the tire business for 43 years. The operating weight of this tire is approximately 50,181 lbs (22,770 kg). Tire Pressure typically ranges between 45-50 PSI (depending on the specific tire type and application). Radial and Ply Layers: Heavy equipment tires are designed with multiple layers of steel belts, nylon, or other reinforcement materials. A large gash can damage these internal layers, weakening the tire’s ability to withstand the immense loads and stresses during operation. Irreversible Damage: A large gash means the tire’s carcass or sidewall may have been severely damaged. Even if patched, the internal structure won’t regain its original strength, leading to a risk of failure under pressure. Blowout Potential: A tire patched after a significant gash is prone to sudden failure. When operating heavy machinery, a tire blowout can cause catastrophic accidents, jeopardizing the safety of the operator and anyone nearby. Unpredictable Handling: A patched tire may deform or lose air pressure unevenly, affecting the loader’s stability, especially under heavy loads or on rough terrain. High Loads and Pressures: Wheel loaders like this tire carry extremely heavy loads, with tire pressures ranging between 45-50 PSI. A patched tire will not withstand the pressure, leading to leaks or total breakdown of the tire.

In America they just take tires like that and throw them in a bull pen for the bulls to throw around and have fund. Other countries say there’s plenty of use left in it we’ll just stitch up and patch it, good as new almost!😳🤔👍

Anything can be fixed. At what point does it become unworthy of the repair? This guy has skills, no doubt but whatever he charges for this repair has to more than that tire is worth!

Its value is based on availability as well as base price. Not sure what he was paid but it had to be worth it to the customer so win/win.
