I’m a Commissioned Fan all day!!!! But it’s sad that the group that helped a particular generation get thru tough times won’t be making any more music. Thank God i got to witness the ministry in my lifetime! Love You Fred!!!! DOA, this is an incredible resource musicians and artist!

I’m not sure if any other fan is seeing this, but Fred is the glue of the group. He was best friends with Mitchell, he brought in Marvin Sapp, he was brother in laws with Kieth Staten, and he brought Karl in . Fred Hammond is the common denominator. Most importantly he had the record company siding with him.

Sounds like he was the one with the ego
@robertcowan72294 ай бұрын
@@AlbertMurray-pz1zono, he was the one with the vision. And he’s proven that for decades. If you look at when the Commissioned was successful, and the fact that he was the only one (besides Marvin) to have a successful solo career, it checks out. As for him having an ego, he said himself that the other members all had something he admired and could learn from.

I just listened to your best episode yet! Your relationship w/ Fred & knowledge of Commissioned allowed you to ask some of the questions we've always wanted to. Then you listened & let the man talk! I've heard at least 2 other long form interviews w/ him that were good & I appreciated, but this was the most insightful, revealing, & vulnerable. Thx 2 U & Fred for this one!

WOW WOW WOW!!!!!! @DOA this was ABSOLUTELY one of your BEST interviews to date. Listening to both of you legends is beyond in itself, but, to hear Fred put all the questions into perspective was like sitting at the feet of your favorite uncle listening to him tell great stories and sharing great wisdom and learned experiences. BRAVO!!!! Made me feel like I was that awkward 14 year old kid again. LOVED THIS!!!!!!!! THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU BOTH!!!!!!

I am not going to be nice like everyone I LOVE THESE DUDES TO PIECES commissioned albums where the part of the reason I was able to dry my tears when I went through but it is painfully obvious and it validates what I suspected for the last year after Fred came out on instagram they where jealous of his talents and did not want him to lead the group and it really got bad once he went out and became a legend in his own right and came back not once not twice but seven times and every time they would start and it would fall apart now I know repentance and forgiveness is needed and it needs to go toward Fred period!!!!
@phieble3 ай бұрын
PERFECTLY STATED. 👏👏👏 In another video where Fred told the Commissioned story, he mentioned that Marvin Sapp and his wife came to his house shortly after he left Commissioned and apologized with tears for his part in getting Fred put out and to this day the two are close and the most successful in the group not just for talent because all those guys are phenomenal, but mostly because God looks at the heart and rewards humility and faith over pride, selfishness and unbelief every time!

You could truly feel the loss of impact the Commissioned music had when Fred left. 🤦🏽♂️ Just didn’t hit the same. The album they dropped in '96 sounded like jodeci mixed with men of standard, and boyz 2men. They sounded like the people they inspired not like themselves.

Fred says the name of the group members in every other situation , but not on the most important pivotal parts of him leaving the group. He always say “ I ain’t gone name any names”. I wonder why he is protecting this in named member? Can some one help me understand?
