Fred Moore: The Savant of Animation

I love Disney's transitional period from the 30s to the 40's. They were leaning towards 40s animation techniques but still keeping the rubber hose designs of the 30s. Don Towsleys Mickey design is my favorite design for him right up there with Gottfredson. Moore did fantastic work with it.

Freddie Moore was my favourite Mickey Mouse design and he was my favourite animator I'll always be so proud and greatful for him giving me my Mickey.

The problem with KING MIDAS was that WALT OERSONALLY DIRECTED IT, and his dyslexia had caused him to fall way behind in the tech skills of the more advanced toons which he did PRODUCE and CREATIVE and STORY direct , but NOT actual directing. Plus he probably drove Fred and the other animators crazy .The elf Fred did is par for the course under those circumstances.

Comic book artist Todd McFarlane, best known for being the creator of the Spiderman villain Venom and his own comic Spawn was also a janitor before one of his applications for Marvel was finally accepted.

Love the Disney Animators episode but think you could full episodes eventually instead of 15 min ? Don’t get me wrong I love them but it would be nice to watch them in full instead of 2-3 parters

Are you aware that Walt Disney himself directed "The Golden Touch"? He really didn't know what he was doing, and it's a good thing that he went back to assigning duties rather than thinking he could create AND produce films.
