Fred spelled it out. They weren't getting paid what they agreed upon but they were cool with it and B Marsh used that money to grow the podcast. Fred thought that meant when it came time to really get the paperwork done the money he never received would give him certain equity in the company and BMarsh disagreed that it should be less. BMarsh wanted them to share in the profit but not actually have a piet of the business. It's the same thing Joe Budden did to Rory and mal.

It's called the Joe Budden podcast so I can't believe that Rory and Mal would believe they had an ownership stake in that? If they did, why allow the change of name? Owning and creating something is a little bit more than co-hosting too. Maybe it would be good to do what Swiss and Timbo did with negotiating stock for artists who participated but I believe that is in Triller, the things that is really making some money. But I don't think turning up to co-host means you own it. BM should have paid them what they were owed and got a loan to grow the brand further. If they didn't agree on the profit split then they did the right thing to end things amicably and I think they will do better doing their own thing. I just don't understand the expectation of ownership aspect unless you are actually fronting up money to invest in the growth?

Sounds like they started as an outlet of brotherly love and neighbors during the pandemic and it grew from episode 1. Brandon always had the name and was smart to tie it into his training facility. So from an evaluation standpoint he put money upfront frost snd owns the name and others wanted even or close to equals equity. So I can understand why they left and I think it’s room for both sides to thrive. I think the biggest takeaways are having your business/paperwork together and the fact that they split amicably without throwing each other under the bus in public. Respect to these two Brotha's on their vision and then the desire to take the high road and create greatness on their own podcast. I support them 100%. IAA needs to also have the utmost respect toward the "PIVOT" as well. There's so much room for everyone to be a winner in this game. However, I did see a slight by Brandon of IAA when the lady chef was talking about her dream of owning a food truck, and she mention in gest the word "PIVOT" - Brandon wanted to feel some way about it as he sarcastically laughed is a demeanor not becoming of a friend to his fellow friends (Fred and Channing) and that made me take him down a few pegs. Come on "B" you gotta give Fred and Channing their flowers as well and keep it moving forward. RC is a great fit for the PIVOT, and I wish everyone nothing but the best.

I think Brandon put the initial investment into the podcast. I think for them to buy in at a later date, it was much more than Fred or Channing wanted to pay. Ideally, you would hope they could have worked it out, but Brandon wants to grow the business into several lanes. Fred and Channing didn't seem they wanted to do that. The pivot has given Fred the elder wise statesman a greater platform and voice. Love to see it. Channing also will expand and having Ryan Clark as an addition is a plus. God bless them each going forward.

It’s crazy because way before I knew any of this you could tell off of the energy that bmarsh was the self appointed “Beyoncé” of the group. I like the pivot though. Seem like they treat each other as equals

I was very surprised to see the Pivot Podcast and wondered what the hell happened with I Am Athlete. I hate that Fred and Channing split from B Marshall and Chad. Glad to hear their side of why they left. At the end of the day it’s all about Business and Money. 💵💰 I’ll continue to support both podcasts and hope they both do well. I love Fred’s optimism and Big Picture Thinking.

But it legit was his thing, he came to them with the idea and put up all the money … now they want the same ownership at the same buy in after its mega succefull ?

@@desmundlighten3603 I hear you. You're right. I see, and think i understand both sides. So far, Brandon's taken the "high road" on it, or at least hasn't publicly addressed it like they have. It's BIDNESS. Hopefully, it doesn't end friendships. Stay up!

@@cordellsenior9935 I just wished they could have come to sn accord to stay together fam. They had lightning in a bottle and broke up of a contract dispute they just need to meet in the middle and call it a day

Fred and Channing were the Flavor of IAA B’Marsh and Chad were the Face the guest brought the excitement!

Respect that decision 100%. Organic. They just wanted to bring the boys together for a podcast and chop it up. Brandon wanted cultural impact BY speaking and stressing certain topics every so often. Opposite of organic conversation. Where Channing be talking about crabs and Freaky Fred can change gears instantly yet still bring up whatever topic whenever they want. They’re trying to have fun and make the most out of it. Brandon trying to leverage the opportunity to become a brand w a message. Nothing wrong w either.

Why they got Ryan in the corner like he's at the kids table? 🤣

I subscribed, followed, recommend and shares both of these shows since I discovered them. And this is why Fred Warner is a smart man. They broke up, and he took the high road and kept it professional because in the end there are enough fans who only want to see great content. Each show benefits from each other. For example, I found the Bussin with the boys simply because I follow The Pivot and IAA, and all I care about is content. Channing is the funny man on the Pivot, and Ochoa Cinco is the man on IAA.

Unfortunately I look at BMARSH differently now. I’m happy Fred and Channing took the high road and started their own thing. Keeping it classy is a lost art. For what it’s worth I hope BMARSH remains successful and both sides can collaborate in the future.

One thing that sucks about all this is that, it’s much easier to have this perspective (prioritizing business goals and outcomes over simply the product) in hindsight. Often, if you are trying to get something creative off the ground, you can get wrapped up in the business side and the actual thing that you are making, in this case a podcast, can be underwhelming and not as successful as it would have been otherwise. Definitely a delicate balance

This is a common situation like 90's rap groups. It's all good at the beginning before the money start rolling in! Then different individuals feel they deserve a bigger cut because they feel they put more in at the beginning.. It breaks friendship up unfortunately
