Fred Wesley and The New J.B's Livestream

Fred Wesley is the trombonist, composer, arranger, bandleader and author known worldwide as one of the architects of funk music. Fred’s work with the Godfather of Soul, Mr. James Brown in the 1970s established him as the world’s funkiest trombonist. He is also famed for his work with George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Parliament, Funkadelic, Ray Charles, Van Morrison & Cameo.
Along with Maceo Parker & Pee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley makes up the classic JB’s Horns who guest with other artists such as Lenny Kravitz, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more.
Fred Wesley is responsible for many rare groove anthems such as “House Party”, “Blow Your Head”, “Use me”, “Same Beat”, “Rockin’ funky watergate“, “Damn Right I am Somebody”, “J.B. Shout”, “I’m Payin’ taxes, What am i Buyin’ “, “Breakin’ Bread”, “(It’s not the express ) It’s the JB’s Monaurail“, “Watermelon Man”, “Doing it to Death”, “You can have Watergate just gimme some bucks and I’ll be Straight”, “More Peas”, “Get on the Good Foot”, “Four Play”, “Up for the Down Stroke”, “Sat Blow by Blow Backwards”, “We cam to Funk ya” and many more.

Nice mix. The bass player just right. I can hear all of the bass (because of the mix). The horns are awesome. Fred's music vibe beams through the songs. Enjoy this classic funky feel. It's always a pleasure when playing with a good drummer. Really enjoyed the pianists feel and musical knowledge. No one can play the trombone like Fred Wesley. Nice crisp brilliant notes from trumpet player. Of course when the sax flows so well, That's why awesome horns. Listening to Fred Wesley in different configurations over the years has been my favorite music to put me in the groove. Thanks

Wowwwww, wowww am 23. Juni 2023 noch ein grandioses Konzert bei der JAZZ-BALTICA 2023 in Timmendorf Ostsee. Gestern 04.July, am Nationalfeiertag der Amerikaner, ist er 80 Jahte alt geworden. herzliche Glückwünsche zum Geburtstag. Ich habe gedacht, das ich mit meinen 80 Jahren noch recht fit bin, aber was der für eine Puste hat, da kann ich nur neidisch werden. Er möge noch lange leben und uns mit seiner großartigen Musik weiterhin begeistern. Danke. Wowwww, wowww on June 23, 2023 another terrific concert at the JAZZ-BALTICA 2023 in Timmendorf Baltic Sea. Yesterday 04.July, on the national holiday of the Americans, he has become 80 years old. Congratulations on your birthday. I thought that I am still quite fit with my 80 years, but what the for a puff has, I can only envy. He may still long live and continue to inspire us with his great music. Thank you.

My granddaughter, then age 10, or so, sat down with me to play chess. I had some funky music playing and she said, with a disapproving face, what's that? 3 minutes into it she could not sit still. If we had been listening to this, it would have taken only seconds until she started dancing in her seat.
