Freddie Dobbs' Bonneville | More Cleaning and a Trade In!

Join me in this first video after taking on the challenge to fix @FreddieDobbs Triumph Bonneville T100SE. This motorcycle is the central focal point of his channel and has been right there with him on many adventures from all over Europe to the Sahara, across the Atlas Mountains to the local coffee shop!
In this video we continue with the laborious task of cleaning, degreasing and painting parts for the rebuild. We also took time out to head to Staffordshire Triumph to complete a trade in of my Custom built Triumph 865 Bonneville Scrambler for something a bit newer!

Nice one guys , that's going the extra-mile with sorting the fins on the cooler . I was going to go for a quick-blast but it's raining and I can't be-arsed ...so watching you instead . Some cool-machines at that Dealer . I had a 1200-Mirage when I was younger , that was a hand-full ! Still a fast-bike by todays standards but even my old 82 TR1 isn't far-behind the new T120 Triumph and sounds just-as great with my 'modified' exhaust . Dave nz

I visited Staffordshire Triumph last summer.....a credit to Triumph.....very nicely set up showroom..... cracking display of the latest Triumph....and a very nice private museum. With very enthusiastic staff.

I was brought up in a village in Staffordshire and worked on a dairy farm all my youth. Back then uz ("uz" meaning 16/17 year old fizzie and Suzi 250 riders) goal in life in 1970s was do "a ton over the rezzer" (i.e. 100 mph over Blythefield Reservoir on our bikes). Now I live in South Africa, Hong Kong and Shanghai and ride all over the world and years later I was back in Blighty and rode a British spec early gen Hayabusa over the rezzer and made quite a bit more than a "ton" - nearer "two tons". Made me smile. I also rode my round the world KTM 990 Adv R over the rezzer... not as fast as the Busa - but still enormous fun. Its strange how childhood memories and "dreams" never fade. For information of other riders from sunnier climes its cold and wet in Staffordshire - except on the 23 of July when its sometimes OK.

I’ve always used the dish washer for cleaning parts. I’ve had classic mini engine parts, wheels and motor bike parts in our one. Obviously when the wife is out……😅😅😅😅😅

Great Vid as usual, But, really surprised for cleaning, that the wonderful workhorse of all motorcyclists, (when in cleaning mode), + (I'm Ride 'em don't clean 'em) use the 'ecking dishwasher! They were made for cleaning motorcycle bits and dishes second!! Thanks for the update, really interesting learning about perfectionism.

Chain guard is one of those weird ones (or used to be) that it wasn't an mot requirement but it was a legal requirement.
