Yes Freddie and Effy were in love but she felt very close to Cook and him her. Remember these 2 spent a month together traveling. I think that month if you go from ep 8 to 10 clearly changed the dynamic between ceffy. Prior to that yes Ceffy was only physical but they grew closer during that time alone and ep 10 of s3 implies that heavily and than again in s4 you see how they care for each other. Yes she is in love with Freddie but she has love for Cook and Cook has love for both of them. This is why the Triangle is interesting. To right off Ceffy is to ignore some really amazing writing and a great dynamic between the 3 that was very deep and much more than people give it credit for.
