As far as I understand that, the Slaters should have said something, but it's really not their job or place to say something, it's his mother's. The mother really should have told him who the father is, not the Slaters, or Billy Mitchell as the mother's ex-husband. I can also understand why the mother didn't want to say anything, only that the father didn't want to. Imagine the scene, the mother reliving the day she was conceived, i.e. the day she was raped. Reliving the trauma and causing more pain, in herself and in her son... is a near impossible situation. In no case does a son take the news well... the lie told by the mother, however painful it was for the best...

@@ShadowSoul92 It would have been better if Little Mo told Freddie. But she didn't, even though she saw what Kat and Zoe and the rest of the family went through. She's made the rest of the family complicit in hiding her secret from Freddie for all these years.

@@admirathoria0073 I understand what you're saying, but Mo chose to lie for two reasons: 1 - Protecting herself from the trauma she has suffered, because talking about it is reliving the trauma for many rape victims. 2 - Protect the child. As difficult as it may be for Freddie to accept, imagine how Mo must have felt, at the idea of burdening his son with traumatic news like that, the decision of what to say or not to tell his son rests with Mo, and as mother is in her own right. However it would have been, Mo who should have talked about it with his son, when she thought it was more appropriate, no one else. Although the situation has now changed, since the rest of the family know that Freddie has come into contact with his father, they should have warned Mo. Is there no phone? Couldn't they have told her about Freddie and the fact that he met his father? I understand the rush to warn Freddie about the person who is his father, but then again it wasn't their job to say anything...

Everyone wants to think that they were created out of love or at least fun or joy of some kind. You don't know what damage you could potentially do to a person if you tell then they were created out of horrific traumatic criminal pain.
