You know, it's no exaggeration to say that Jamaica produced so many of the world's greatest musicians, so many that I can never pin point one particular to say he/she the greatest. That era gave us so much, almost all sit at the top. Just feel grateful my ears & spirit was blessed with hearing them.

Well done Freddie, for keeping Jackie's name out there. The man was a pure genius. Proper tunes too, not just a two chord riddim. That album with him and Winston Wright together is an all time favourite. I would love to have gone out drinking rum with Mr Mittoo and Lee Perry in the late 60's!

The Ska ta Lites actually preferred Richard Ace the other keyboardist in that band. Jackie was phenomenal but Mr.Ace was preferred. Besides that Mr. Dodd was not in the studio when a lot of those classics were cut. He would hear the tracks after they were tracked.

One of??? He is the greatest. Without him, we wouldn't have a music form. 99% of the songs. And Freddie is right about Leroy too.
