How Mercury was infected with HIV is unknown, but the virus was spreading through NYC's gay community in the late 1970s and early '80s. This lines up with when Freddie Mercury was often visiting nightclubs and bars and having one-night stands.
So, how did the Queen Legend Freddie Mercury Contract AIDS? Did one of his lovers pass on the disease to him? Sit back as we discuss the possibilities of how the iconic Queen frontman Freddie Mercury contracted AIDS.
Sidenote:- You can't catch AIDS. HIV is the virus. AIDS is what happens when the immune system fails.

@@Braven9975 I saw one hint, when they picked up an award for something or other, nearer the end. He was wearing a blue suit and he didn't speak and stood to the back of the group on stage. That made me look at him abit closer and I could see how thin he was, he looked ill, we just didn't know how bad he was. But he was a trooper to the end.

If only Freddy could of survived a little bit longer without his HIV turning into AIDS, the medicine used to treat HIV is so much more advanced now. The medicine now can lower the HIV so much so in a person's body that it cannot be detected or be transmitted to another person. Freddy does not deserve to be remembered as a man with HIV, he deserves to be remembered as the amazing artist he was, and it's a shame that we do not have him with us today 💔

Please search for the truth. Freddie was a victim of science as many today, not of his preferences. They needed to scare people like now: selected one loved by many, with an enormous value. Fauci do not care who is destroyed: power and money are his gods.

@@mortishanocturnal71 The only known treatment in the 80s was AZT which, on its own, was only a very short term fix and caused serious adverse effects. When used in combination with other protease inhibitors, it's a key element in the anti-retroviral therapy treating most HIV cases today. They didn't know that back in poor Freddie's time. But yes, Reagan's behaviour regarding AIDS in the 80s was unforgivable.

I was 14 in 1985 and as I watched the Live Aid performance by Queen on television, my heart nearly exploded from absolute love. A legend to be sure. A creative genius of course. More than this, he was a man, a human who I would have hugged and never let go. Because I am a songwriter, I know the depths of the soul from which words are born, heartbreaking and healing words. Watching him sing, and dance, and absolutely love his fans, I loved every moment he graced this world.

Revelation 1:8 says that Jesus is the alpha and the omega. Luke and revelation is the ending times, and Jesus is returning back. So are you going to submit your life to him or no? Narrow is the path that leads to the gates of heaven, but only few people find it. The gates that is the path to destruction is where many people find it! Jesus loves you SO MUCH! Dude.. don't use God's name in vain. Not cool, it's dangerous man Repent and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, for we are sinful people. We've lied, stolen, used God's name in vain, and looked at people with lust. Even though Jesus said that it is adultery. Which is how God is going to see and judge us. But God sent his son Jesus down on this earth to pay our fine. And God's wrath for us was used on Jesus, but because Jesus never sinned, he rose again. Now Repent and trust in the Lord, for he is coming one day. This is not religious, religion tells you works get you to heaven. For it it by grace and not of your works that you are saved! Trust in Jesus!!!! 😳

Freddie would never have known how he got aids, even in the 90's very little was known about it. Anyone interested in Freddie's life and long battle with this awful disease there is a book called Somebody to Love, although fascinating it is a real tear jerker. R.I.P. Freddie.X

In my opinion Freddie has the best voice of all time. And when he had Aids he still was a true hero by performing up to the end even with the disease. Aids was horrible and he died living like a true hero keeping his fans in his heart until the end. His last videos show what thousands of others looked like with Aids and its a horrible disease. Magic got Aids shortly after Freddie and they had come up with medicines by then so its too bad Freddie could not have had it a couple years later. In my eyes he is a true hero.

Way back in the 70's I was a sophomore in HS working at a high end steak house. We had closed for the night and I had school the next day when the owner came rushing down Yelling..OK! I need 1/2 of you to go and 1/2 of you to check back in and reopen the line!! I was a prep cook, line cook and I saw the older alcoholic dishwasher run for the door as if he was in the Olympics, he had to get drunk. Crap looks like I'll be doing line, prep and dishes...So we all pissed and moaned then..The place started Banging!! The super hot waitress in outfits that would make Hooters blush were all excited and giddy. We reopened for Queen and all their staff! The owner wanted the best and we did it. Later the owner came back and said the band heard we reopened for them and they wanted to thank you guys. So we went out and there was Brian to the right and Roger to his left. Man the movie nailed them! Brian was kind and sophisticated and Roger was fun and edgy! They were so engaging. John was a bit over about 10 feet and had a drink and smiled and said thank you. Then way in the back in the middle of a corner booth in the middle was Freddie. We walked over and Freddie looked like you would walk up to a cat not knowing it was feral & a sparkle in his eyes and he said Thank you, thank you all. Superb meal you're all wonderful. The next day word got out I cooked and met Queen.. I was a rock star for a few days..
