i'm surprised no one else has noticed or mentioned but: listening to him talk about how much he'd hate staying at home and that isolation would be dreadful and awful for him , how he couldnt/wouldnt wanna' do that made my heart break. because the last 18 months of his life thats exactly what the media and press made him do. even though he was surrounded by people who genuinely loved him , which i'm so happy and thankful for , he still had to feel so trapped and alone in a way as far as not being able to really be him and live how HE lived. this man is one of the most beautiful souls i've ever had the privelege of knowing ( about ) and if anyone deserved to be happy and at peace , IT WAS HIM. but they refused to give that to him. he didnt deserve that. 💔

Imani Dominguez I was thinking exactly the same when he spoke about never wanting to be alone or in the same room for long but that was how he left the world. 😢 his male friend Hutton wrote about it in his book too

I don't know if Freddie Mercury knew just how gorgeous and sexy he was and how loved he still is. Combined with his spectacular and majestic vocal ability and performances, Freddie set the musical bar so high that no one has or will ever be able to match him. LOVE of my Life...I miss you,!

I’m sure he was aware of his sex appeal and he used it well on stage. Unfortunately his prowess led him down that dark road and to aids that ultimately cost him his life but he was a musical genius for sure. He was a shooting star who burned himself out.

“I just like to do different things. It’s like I don’t like to stay in one position for too long. And so that comes out in everything- it comes out in my songs, my lyrics- I just like to try everything once. And I’m not scared of the pitfalls and things, you know. And I’m not worried about like ‘my god, this is not my scene...’ In fact, I _love_ the challenge... I like doing things that are not part of the mainstream for me. And sometimes, if that works, it works in a very big way! Otherwise it’s going to be a very big flop. But I’m willing to take that risk.” He’s so awesome 😭

Nobody's perfect. He broke Mary Austin's heart and he gave Jim Hutton Aids. He was a very talented, hot and intellectual man, but he was also selfish and he cheated on all of his lovers and broke their hearts. He was an imperfect human being like all of us

I am definitely a little bit in love with Freddie Mercury. Apart from his incredible musical talent, he seemed a genuinely lovely guy, with a great sense of humour, and was generally very polite in interviews, when I'm sure he'd rather have been doing anything else. In the words of his good friend 'Sharon', his "candle definitely burned out long before his legend ever will". Love you Freddie, miss you very much, but may you RIP my friend. xx

Winni223: Agree! Lisa Robinson, the interviewer seen here, obviously, is a music journalist and editor-formerly at Creem and Interview magazine, now at Vanity Fair, I think. She has done 5,000 interviews with famous musicians, and I think she's really honed her craft. Check out her talks with Keith Richards, Patti Smith, Jimmy Page, and Kanye West. They're great, too!

globalcitizenn No offense, but in terms of looks, Michael Jackson was no Freddie Mercury. Not even close.
@yasminmont.60675 жыл бұрын
@@sammyjo2852 sorry you're wrong. Michael Jackson had a very intense sex appeal and ooze came out of him all the time. Please look closely at the Bad era....Smooth Criminal video and The Way You Make me Feel. Also: from Dangerous In the closet. MJ had the best smile in the world. He was so loving. Oh you are plainly so wrong.
@sammyjo28525 жыл бұрын
Yasmin ?!!!! It’s MY OPINION, and opinions are not “wrong.” I just don’t happen to see MJ at all the way that you do. I don’t deny his immense talent and musical legacy, but that doesn’t change his looks for me at all.
@yasminmont.60675 жыл бұрын
@@sammyjo2852 Relax Panda with the all CAPS!!!!! Yeah it's your opinion which needs revision since like it or not MJ had the best cheekbones, eyes and smile and set of teeth in the world and yes he was sexy. Freddie was super hot too. They are both beautiful.
@sammyjo28525 жыл бұрын
Yasmin ?!!!! No, YOU relax, darling. Why do you give a flying frig that my opinion differs from yours. I’m not going to revise my view nor do I expect you to revise yours to conform with mine. For the last time, I don’t find MJ attractive in any of his physical iterations and never will. In my eyes, he got more grotesque with every new surgical attempt to try to attain the gorgeous looks that someone like FM came by naturally. We’re done here.

Freddie is such a lovely personality, Brian May said it before -that there's a lot of humour in Freddie, &this interview is a showcase proof to this apart from being a pretty regular, well grounded guy. Everyone has a character flaw but Freddie's is simply on the side of having a propensity to promiscuity, I guess due to his active single free spirited status as a man.

You know when Freddy came out having AIDS it was my very exposure to this hideous disease. And when he died the next day I being very young and inexperienced thought it killed in one day. Ah the things we don’t know. He was also my first exposure to homosexuality I didn’t know what gay meant until Freddy. And despite it being a very taboo topic in my home I still loved and listened to him. I suppose my mom thought I would go to hell for it. But Freddy transcended all it his music broke down walls and barriers and touched your very soul. I wear a Freddy t-shirt to this day.
