I have a lot of mirrors … Freddie had such a wonderful sense of humor

I love to hear Freddie speak. He and Mary had a deep bond that lasted his whole life. We all need a friend like that. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

You know Freddie was sent to boarding school in India when he was just 8 years old. Being sent away from your family at such an early age I would think there always remains feelings of abandonment in that persons life. I completely understand his lack of trust in people loving him for who he was.....the human being, not the Super Rock Star he became. Mary loved him before all the fame and supported him not only financially but whole heartedly from the beginning of this magnificent man.

You can tell who Freddie's genuine friends were, they are the ones who have not written books, gone on speaking tours or given interviews about what good friends they were.

Freddie was insightful. I know some say oh what about Peter among several others , but look what happened after Freddie was gone, most all these people wrote books exposing everything. Freddie was a private person. But Mary said very little, she and Freddie talked about very serious things, he said he could talk to her about everything, per Freddie. So Freddie trusted Mary above all others, Freddie's trust was not misplaced with Mary.

YES, TRUE it's so weird how they tell about everything on their books Even if I'm a bit of a hypocrite for having read themlol

Thank you very much Sound and Vision, for this interview. It's truly sad that, Freddie's so called friends only wanted what they could get from Him. Peter Freestone and Peter Straker, were true friends, and Peter always kept close watch over Freddie. And Mary Austin, she did understand and was always there, when Freddie needed her. Like Freddie said, Mary, was the only person that knew him and he could always confide in her. That's what kept Freddie going!!! And he always admitted that she was his long time girlfriend. Their bond was never waived. May Your Beautiful Spirit Forever ✨ Shine ✨ Rest In Peace 🕊️ And Happiness 💞 Darling 💫 Amen 🙏🏻 From Lynette in Illinois USA 🇺🇸 August 31, 2023

I understand the deep brotherly friendship and respect Freddie and Peter Straker had for each other...and it's enough for me. I am happy they had it. Proud of Peter for how he has handled losing Freddie and all that went with it.

Peter was excluded from his circle of loved ones by Freddie. He was not allowed to come to Garden L, nor were the household members allowed to give Petre any information about Freddie.

A true friend keeps your secrets even after you die. This interviewer ,David Wigg was a true friend. Freddie had many but he didn't believe it because of the people that took from him. The worst of all was Paul Printer

After Freddie's death, David Wigg said in an interview that he felt Mary was the one true love of Freddie's life and David knew all about Jim and Freddie's relationship as well but picked Mary. How sad for Freddie to love a woman so deeply but not to be able to give her the one thing she desired, life together as a true husband and wife.

Im seeing people sharing their feelings here and I feel like this is a safe space so fuck it we ball Im an autistic teenager and Freddie has been my number 1 hyperfixation for ages and i really relate to him. As an artist and person. The world isnt kind to me because of my condition because ableism is just so baked into society.. like freddie, ive been very hurt before and people misunderstand me all the time and they treat me differently so i have to put up a mask a lot of the time. And i cant handle people a lot of the time and i dont trust them so i very much relate to freddie getting too scared and shutting himself off.. as well as him finding it hard to maintain friendships which is a symptom of autism i deal with.. but thankfully I found my best friend a couple months ago and I feel totally safe with her. We became friends through our love for freddie. freddie must have felt the same relief as me when he found his right people.. at least I sure hope he did. freddie just comforts me through it all.. through his music and his personality and his approach to all the hardship.. i wish I could temporarily bring him back to life just so I could hug him and thank him for everything.. he was an unbelievably strong person even with his struggles.. and im learning to be more like him and ive made progress!! :D ive learned to take risks and ive learned to be more confident with my art and im not afraid to show it!! And I'm even a tiny bit less scared to let my autism show!! I hope i made someone feel seen and heard with my words and i hope freddie has too :) i wish only the best for my fellow autistics ❤

He assessed the situation correctly. Friends don't write books about their friends' personal lives. Why is everyone talking up the band situation? They were colleagues with their own lives. It's the same in other bands/ companies. But he was lucky to have Mary Austin and his family, which is more than most.

"People tell me that they're my friends." "And you believe them?" "No." ... I can almost hear his voice become a little choked. A very laconic and unadorned response. That hurts to hear.

That's why I always trust mirrors. They never lie to you and will show you the truth, whether your like it or not.

Peter Straker was not the friend Fred thought he was. He was a 'frenemie'. He mocked Fred's ancestry after he passed stating Fred hid the fact he had Asian heritage. Sadly Fred only saw his jealousy late on. Bowie was also not a true friend, artistically jealous. His band mates were his true friends, more family than friends. The interviewer was Fred's friend.

Freddie is speaking facts. I can relate too. I am a 16 year old autistic guy, and I have very little real friends. The only real friends I consider real friends are people I was friends with back in primary school, though I can't get to see them in person all the time because of our busy lives. They were my only friends back then because they were autstic like me, as well as the fact I struggled to make friends with non autistic people who I was peers with and often had issues with them. I am currently in Secondary school and though I do consider people there friends, I wouldn't nessecarily hang out with them outside of school. I tend to have also felt very different and left out when being with groups I couldn't properly fit in. I had unfortunately fell out with some people there I really liked (One was a narcissistic girl I had a crush on, a geopoltics nerd who turned out to be a neo nazi, and a highly dysphoric m2f trans friend who kept talking abt her personal struggles a lot to me, as well as acting quite manipulative). I also had hung out with people in the past who aren't rlly my friends (like my closest friend's mothers friends kids who don't have friends), and people in a Youth Club, but those were never my friends, though those people would say I am friends with them. There are so many friendship categories: Close Friends, Casual Friends, and Acquiantances.

Jim was a down to earth guy. Didn’t seem so taken with Freddie’s celebrity. I’m not sure he measured up to his intellectuality though. Don’t think he was a very deep thinker. Anybody else agree?😊

Freestone was not a friend. He was an employee who had access to see things. Freddie didn’t confide in him or talk about the things friends discuss. Freestone made that up for his books over the years.
