This was beautiful. in SO many ways. I sang opera in College. about the time of Live Aid. shortly after that, I was hiding from a serious problem. I never was privileged to see Freddie live. the good news is, SO many cameras were about to do so for me. and I have him, today. Choruses and even other singers try to play his songs, but they are working so herd to be perfect, the forget to feel the music. it is like the difference between human hands playing a piano or a player piano doing it via program.When you look at history, one fact always remains. no one gets out alive. in the end, everyone is but a story. it is up to each of us to make our story honest and as good as we can. Freddie Certainly did that.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the interviews of the people who knew Freddie. I visited the Queen recording studio (museum now) in Montreaux, Switzerland earlier this year (2016). When you were standing in the exact place where Freddie had sung his last words, I could sense your emotions... perhaps emotions that you had wished that you had met him..such as mine... Tears rolled down my face as I love him like you do. Thank you for this heartwarming documentary. Freddie lives!.... through all of us..

If it makes beloved Montserrat happy to have the crossover introduce and win over rock fans to opera, I wish she could hear and see the reaction videos to the 3 Barcelona performance videos. I 've been watching. Most of the blog owners knew of Freddie (though surprised by his appearance here), but most, were totally unfamiliar with opera and hadn't a clue re Montserrat; an amazing variety of mainly young people. Many wouldn't venture to pronounce her name and many put it thru a meat grinder! But to a man, the jaws dropped as soon as she opened her mouth, of course. Don't know why that makes me cry or laugh uproariously ( the guy in the dark basement [or subway tunnel! ] smoking a bong who said the chick has pipes laid me low,. And I love the ones who are touched by Freddie and Montserrat's adoring interactions..."Look how she looks at him!". Ah, Montserrat/Montsy you remain an absolute wonder. And what a heck of nice guy and stunning technician/creative musician is Mike Moran, What a trio!

Brian gets forgetful. Freddie performed with Ibex in Liverpool and smile were at a different venue but they went to watch Freddie. This was 69, they had known each other since 68, Freddie went to college with Tim the lead singer of smile. Roger said they were impressed with his stage performance but wasn't sure about the singing! They did an encore with him. Roger said when Tim left they were giving up. Freddie encouraged them to start again with him

I never understood how Bob Geldrof could say Freddie Mercury wasn't a good looking man, I guess he was supposed to be a friend of Freddie Mercury's but obviously Bob Geldrof never looked at himself in the mirror. He never looked like he took a bath in 30 years. Bob Geldrof always had a dirty look about him, besides not having any musical talent.
@Twistypoo5 ай бұрын
He had a great idea for a great cause, lied to all the artists to get them on board.. and does not have a clue what a good looking man is. I still appreciate what he did with Live Aid.. Queen’s performance has been considered the greatest performance of all time to this day. He should thank them, and Freddie.

Freddie? Idealist. Except he was 200 years too late to save opera. It is a done cookie cutter, and that may be what drove Freddie to try to do some CPR on opera-but alas; it was already a fossil, fully long dead, whose life blood is pomp, an echo from the past, and self approval and importance. It can all be started over, for only that can save it, when the Prophet's Song becomes reality. Tell Brian that time has arrived.
