The note at the beginning is not a C2 but a E2, he hit a C2 when he says the word "dear" which is cut in the clip, and is not fry vocal but normal speaking. bass, baritone or tenor, his voice is the most wonderful one I ever heard.

Thats odd because freddie was notoriously inconsistent in his high note count during his live career, he even told wembley out loud he couldnt sing above an A#4 which is crazy considering the ease with which he had in the studio recordings. Freddie was nothing BUT lower octaves on stage

He was not a real tenor or even a baritone, he does not possess the lowest notes of the baritone and live he does not possess the high notes of a tenor. He moved on the low range of the tenor, which is why many call him a pushed tenor while others baritenor but the truth is that his voice is positioned halfway between the two vocal registers.

@@syarifd5605 I didn't hear any D8 there, and if it's a shouted, uncontrolled and inconsistent note like many great singers tend to do, I don't consider that part of the range and to be honest I don't consider vocal fry, sub harmonics or Whistle as real range.

Definitely a baritenor. His range below C3 is a little weak but still there and beyond a tenor. And his tenor range doesn't quite have the tenor timbre, but still strong in his high belts. The C2 in the beginning was a weak, unintentional subharmonic, as a bass with a chest range down to E1 and chest-fry down to C#1, this is how my subharmonics sound at C0 (lowest subharmonic to date is a B negative 1). Still, he is one of the greatest singers to have ever lived, no matter how you classify him.

As Opera singer i have to precise that he is a tenor. The classification is not about ALL the range that you have it is more about the note that you can sing in a theater with enough power to be heard at the back of the theater. But yes Freddy was an incredible singer

@@luisxd3708 Si cuentas notas aisladas, no intencionales, no melódicas, no saludables...entonces el rango vocal queda totalmente devaluado y no tendría sentido siquiera tenerlo en cuenta. Ya que si es así, todo el mundo tendría un gran rango, personas que cantan y que no lo hacen. Porque cuando roncas haces notas graves y cuando gritas te pueden salir notas muy agudas por la extrema presión subglotica.
