Adolphe Charles Adam originally composed his "Cantique de Noël" in 1847 on the poem of Placide Cappeau, and for organ and a relatively small choir. This masterly recording with organ, choir and indeed a heavenly voice of the boy soprano Freddie Simpson, is the best of its kind!!!!!!
