Freddie, you inspired me to do my first ever (I’m 63) ‘mini’ (1 day) bike ‘tour’ around Snowdonia today, on my Triumph Speedmaster 1200 (2018). I loved every minute. Sitting ‘on’ a bike offers much better views than ‘in’ a car. I even liked the average speed cameras as they meant I was much less likely to get blasted by a ‘crotch rocket’. Keep up the good work as you are making people’s lives better, not ‘just’ making (excellently crafted) videos.

Ahh what memories. Used to spend all our holidays in at Green Acres Caravan site at Black Rock Sands, Morfa Bychan, back in the 70’s. Love North Wales. That was Criccieth Castle you saw in the background on the beach. You should have gone there (if time permitted). As a holiday treat we would go there for fish and chips and home made Cadwaladers ice cream! Not sure if they’re still there? First drove my parents car on that beach - an old Triumph Herald... well steered it sitting on my dad’s lap, as I couldn’t reach the pedals. Thanks for bringing back those joyous times Freddie and Monika.

Hi Freddie. Been to Blackrock sands since being little in the 60's. One of my earliest memories of the region was a pack of Angels cruising along the beach one evening. Made quite an impression. They used to camp at a site by the cliffs. North Wales is a great area for biking. My wife and I try to shoot up from our base in the Forest of Dean at least twice a year. Beddgelert and the Lanberris pass on a rainy day is really worhwhile. So is Criccieth ( castle, superb chip shop, pebble beach) and Abersoch (upmarket and boaty) Keep up the great work!

I moved from southern england to north wales 20 years ago for all the reasons you mention. In good weather the ducati comes out, bad weather the himalayan hits the green lanes. Hiking good also. Honestly believe i am in biking nirvana. Still within good proximity of civilisation and manchester airport. My brother recently moved from Denver Colorado to Harlech as fell in love with the coastline and mountains and has just planted out a vineyard looking out to sea. If you are back in wales in 4 years time ill arrange a private tour. Perfect climate for grapes apparently. Cali moto app helps keep you away from busy roads and average speed camera zones. My business has offices in conwy, liverpool and chester but conwy has the nicest people / clients. Never had an issue with the welsh, most genuine lovely people. It seems ridiculous to use the ‘H&S’ excuse. Whose health & safety? Riding there on a motorbike could jeopardise your H&S. Surely it’s for the individual to decide. Ooh Freddie you should have gone to Beddgelert at the foot of snowdonia. Look it up its the most beautiful place and a steam train runs to it several times a day.

They're barrel jellyfish, pretty harmless. Great vid as usual. You could ride bikes on there in the mid 1960s, in my case at the time a Lambretta.😁

Stunning place guys! RE should by now give you the Classic 350. Your videos are really good advertisement for the brand and the bike!

TE Lawrence was born in the adjoining town to Porthmadoog , Tremadog , you can find his house with a blue plaque . So now you have been to his birth town , His crash site (RIP), now all you need to do is one of your epic road trips to the Middle East .....

Sand wood beach in Scotland is one to visit. 4 mile walk in though.

Hi Freddie. I agree with you it's a beautiful area. Odd that you mentioned it being like Australia, there's a pub in town called The Australia! The beach you may be thinking of for motorcycles maybe Pendine Sands beach on the South coast, where they have beach racing. Did you ride across Barmouth bridge?

Wales would definitely be my choice had l not decided to live in España...Wales is a wonderful country to tour and explore ...l have to say though, weather is the largest reason l would not return to UK. The thought of a freezing cold damp environment is just too awful to contemplate after twenty years living in the Sun....Enjoy your trip, l enjoy watching your journey

I’m from South Wales and I left in 2006, it hasn’t got any better since then.

I love this area of Wales Freddie and although your probably too busy to go there now a ride to Shell Island along the causeway is well worth the journey. Its near Llanbedr between Barmouth and Harlech. When the tide comes in its cut of from the main land hence being called an island.
