Freddo the Rottweiler is Co-Pilot today on the Doggy Daycare Bus

A little nervous to start with, he’s only been off the farm once since we adopted him, he might have thought we were sending him back. Remember he was surrendered 3 times to the pound.
But no. He soon realised he had an important job today. Co-Pilot on the doggy day care bus picking up all the dogs to come to the farm!
Not only does Freddo learn, a trip off the farm doesn’t mean we’re abandoning him … like never … he also gets to meet a lot of new lovely people, another thing he hasn’t done too much of. And a couple of new dogs too at the dog park.
Aunty Sam was biting her nails back home 🙈🤣 … kidding … not!
Report card from Luke was that he was perfect.
Good boy Freddo.
Think he’s going to want to go again, especially with two breakfasts.

So kind of Luke to give Freddo another off farm adventure. I recall the wonderful beach & McDonald's trip. For Freddo to ignore a fetch game, I think it meant he was completely enchanted with new smells. Clearly, the dogs explosive joy of the farm begins when the dogs see Luke.

Freddo was a little nervous at first. I'm sure he may have thought dad was going to leave him, as he's been to shelter 3x before Thank God he became an Evans for ever. Dogs forget Nothing. I was so afraid tht Shadow might b put up for outside adoption. I couldn't imagine if she had been n a car or the bus going down the road from the farm, she probly wod of had terrifying trauma thoughts. People just don't realize the hughe memories dogs have Abt places and things.

Freddo is an Super Star. What a success story he has turned into. All those people who turned him back in because they weren't the right fit for him. He needed a special pawrent and it was Luke and Sam. Uncle Luke always thinking of ways to teach and love those doggos at the same time. Freddo learned he is never being turned in again a trip can be fun. Being a co pilot is an important job. Loved it.

How special for Freddo to have some one on one time with dad and also it must have been nice for Luke to have some company on the way down to Sydney. Freddo was so well behaved - well it showed how all that training and socialisation he had has paid off. It is a great lesson for all of us to spend time with our pets with good training and socialisation. Freddo was an older dog and it showed that it is never too late to learn to behave and be responsive. Well done Freddo you are a beautiful boy, I am sad that you had to wait so long to find a family to love you. You really cracked the jackpot when you arrived at the farm and found your dad, who never gave up peeling away at those layers of abandonment and rejection. Love you dear boy 😘🐾🐾😘

As Freddo has always been my favorite of the shelter dogs (to the point where I had happy tears when I heard y'all adopted him), I can't think of a better co-pilot for Luke. And, he comes with his own DDFT 'official uniform' of the legendary bowtie. He's such a little charmer, incredible protector, and massive bucket of love. I hope he gets the job full-time :)

Seeing Shadow just be one of the family dogs is sooooo incredible.... We all knew she could do it and it's all because of the love, respect, boundaries, care, and training you all gave her..... You took her from an abused "fighting" dog, to a simple family dog... To some, who may not know her story, it might be no big deal but when you do know what was done to her, you realize just how special her being a family dog is..... Too many write off dogs who are from the fighting world, not realizing they are a victim, because it is forced upon them and terrible things are done to them as well..... But you guys saw she was more than that, and now look at her...... And then there's Freddo...... He is one special boy that got the life he deserved to have, the very best life!!!!! I'm telling you that farm is magical.....

i love that you gave Freddo his special mission. Animal communicators report that animals truly do know when they are being made a fuss over, like their birthday, or special roles, or if they are going to be in a magazine. Giving them special roles or making a big fuss over them is very important in their world.
