I have to be honest I was a little concerned about Luke having to take on the driving now too along with everything else but the look on his face said it all this morning. He looks like a little boy having the best day! I hope you will find a driver soon but in the meantime, it is really fun to see how happy he is doing this and I'm sure it's validating for him especially with all of his hard work. This is pure unconditional love between him and these dogs. It's honestly a beautiful thing to see and it doesn't come around very much so even though this may be a bit of a hardship, I think he will look back on this time years from now and be grateful he had the chance to do it again ❤

What a wonderful video! Luke, you make the trip look so easy, and because its you it is! But this video emphasises the point you made earlier about how much training is needed to be able to do this very special doggie collection trip ……you can’t just hop on the bus and roar off to collect the dogs! You are so right, the driver needs to understand the dogs, get to know and be liked by them, be able to handle any eventuality……quite a big ask……we’re all wishing you well on your quest to find that right driver to take over from you…..so you can go back to your daily sunrise time with Wolfie 😘

I never thought I would say this but while watching this video, I was actually happy that the farm is only 3 days a week right now. That means that Luke and Wolf will still get to spend Tuesday and Thursday mornings together, along with the weekends of course. Those are such special moments for both of them and I’m honored that we get to to share even a glimpse of them. Luke, we are all praying for your safe travels while you are driving the bus! You work so hard everyday for these dogs and for your family, it is truly a humbling thing to watch. Thank you Evans family and all of the DDFT crew! The world needs to see these examples of unconditional and absolute love right now more than ever. They are definitely a bright spot in my day. 😃😃♥️♥️🐶🐶

Have never seen anyone as upbeat and positive as Luke Evans. 4:00 am starting out, missing his time with Wolf, yet smiling, talking about the good to come. Cannot imagine how he fits everything into a day - only 24 hours! I hope a driver comes soon...what a giant job -driving the bus. Bus, daycare, rescue dogs needing attention, and - family/team. I was pleasantly surprised how many of the dogs names I knew. It was fun to see the dog parent that goes with the particular dog. Yoyo is one lucky dog , being adopted by the loving family who continues his trips to the farm plus lives by a beautiful park in town to enjoy with his sister.

Luke doing what headmasters do, making sure his students get to school. What a happy surprise for everyone - especially Yoyo! When I was teaching, most students did great seeing their teachers outside of the usual context, like shopping at Walmart and so on. A few of our special ed kids couldn't process it at first, especially if they visited their teacher at her home. Teachers belong at school, right? Maybe that was their and Yoyo's thinking, not having seen them anywhere else previously. The longer term students remembered Luke riding the big bus a few times (first day with new bus, first school day after lockdown, etc) and driving the smaller one before. Parents the world over always enjoy seeing the headmaster cheerfully greeting everyone in the morning, though it's usually at the school house. They typically don't get much personal contact time with him, if all's going well. So this is a real treat, all around! Well done, Luke! ^5
