Nah I would be with Freddy in a forest. The animatronics (as seen in FNAF 3's minigames) CANNOT function outside of the restaurant as it's not part of their maps (which is why they couldn't get in the saferoom). If Freddy is in a forest then he is most likely deactivated or just plain cannot move.

Having said that I would also pick a bear over a random man, think about the reasons a random human might be found deep in the woods, think about how much more prone to starting a fight a human is, especially someone more masculine, ESPECIALLY a human deep in the wild where no civilisation can judge or stop him. It sounds ridiculous but chances of surviving an extremely dangerous wild animal encounter are better than surviving an encounter with the smartest and usually not the kindest animal the planet has - a human, especially if the chances are this human might be a maniac. The original question also had a woman being the one meeting a bear or a man and in such a case it is even creepier because of the general social dynamics it might lead to. It is not about if a woman can win against a man or a bear, it is about who is more likely to attack her.

The guy wasn't even there, he at most walked in and saw the animatronic pieces over the floor and thought to himself "This would be a great piece to add to my dramatic speech before I die." And the minigames aren't accurate, it doesn't matter if we see them torn to pieces on the floor or if we don't see William holding a weapon. Since guess what? We also don't see William even grabbing or touching the animatronics, he just runs up to them, stares at them, and they spontaneously combust. You might as well argue William can cause people to explode by staring at their general direction if you want to take the minigames at face value. If I'm not mistaken, this would be the only interesting fight between an FNaF animatronic and the animal on which said robot is based. Since then versus like Bonnie against a rabbit, Chica against a chicken or Foxy against a fox, they would not be fair versus.

Nightmare Fredbear is literally just a hallucination, and Freddy can already beat Twisted Freddy who's pretty much just Nightmare Fredbear but can actually physically touch you and rip you apart.

i dont understand how the books would be cannon if they're completely different universes basically and i feel like we're sort of forgetting the fact that bears use their arms and paws more than their mouth when fighting something their size or bigger idk i think its a 50/50 but using the books again makes literally no sense as they are different worlds from each other essentially

There are allegedly canon and non canon parts of the books the silver eyes trilogy takes place in it's own timeline I don't think it's really fair using another version of a characters feats for the one we use when they aren't even the same character entirely it's literally the FNAF community that decided whether it was canon or not if the community is that split up plus the characters being in completely different timelines I don't think it's fair using silver eyes Freddy feats for the game Freddy.
