Disent Design Oh, yeah, it’s funny. Definitely. But you can’t deny the whole movie’s mere existence is a major part of the joke. You know, like an Andy Warhol work? It’s a brilliant film, but the funniest joke is that it exists. Tom Green is a lot like Eric Andre actually. And they’re both two of the few "non-PC" comedians who know how to do actually funny offensive offensive humour instead of just yelling "AM I TRIGGERING U?" and calling it a joke.

David Lynch talks about the idea of the "eye of the duck" scene in a movie. His claim is that the placement of the duck's eye is what makes it beautiful. If it were positioned any other way on the duck, it wouldn't be the same. Every film has a scene like this, a scene placed in just the right spot to tie it all together. This is that scene in Freddy Got Fingered.

This film is a masterpiece. When i was a kid i loved it because I thought it was a comedy, but now that I am an adult, i come to appreciate it for the thought provoking, deep, and inspiring cinemeatic achievement that it is. There is so much to analyze in this film between Gordy trying to earn his fathers respect while chasing his dream and destiny, and winning the love of his soulmate. It is only a matter of time before it is preserved by the National Film Registry for being "Culturally, Historically, or Aesthetically Significant."

I hate this movie so much, and yet I love it at the same time. It is the guiltiest of my guilty pleasures, and it is primarily due to how amazing Rip Torn is in this glorious trash pile of a film. Farewell, Rip. You're pulling sausages in Heaven now.
