I agree... the finish line of a marathon is one of the coolest and most emotional I've ever seen in my entire life. I highly recommend.

Thats funny, I was speaking about Ovett/Coe just this morning, so I had to check the date to see if it was google algorhythm. Very nice interview, someone has to tell him that wetsuits and speed skins help you swim faster...would be great to see this guy thrash a tri ⚡

In Ovetts 1500m WR, when he runs 3.31.2, when you watch the race, he is in 2nd until 100m to go. I have always thought, if he had taken off 300m-400m earlier, he'd have run 3.29, and this was 1980. Jakob is still only 21/22. Ovett was 24 then

There is no doubt in my mind Ovett was at least 3-29 in his career

Excuse me, by Prefontain was an earlier era than Ovett, and a different distance. Ovett emerged after John Walker had peaked. Coe and Ovett were the same era.

Fyi….I think the Dream mile with Steve Scott, John Walker and Ray Flynn in Oslo was in 1982. John Walker was still amazing and still a factor during the Coe/ Ovett years….

@@babbittville look at the utube videos. Once Overt had emerged, Walker never won again, unless Ovett wasn't racing.
