@alvexok55234 жыл бұрын
@@SiruselVaranus, the bluehaired lawyer was seen before this episode though, such as in "Marge in chains". That nasel East coast accent is used on numerous characters in the show (by the same voice actor). Both that lawyer and Freddy Quimby have it. Arnie Pie has it. The human fly had it at the end of "Homer's barbershop quartet"

I'm not saying Freddy Quimby is a bad guy, but even though I do feel sorry for him, I still think he brought this on himself not only due to the fact that he started it all by tormenting that waiter over the pronunciation over the word "chowder," but also because he's a high-spirited playboy and he does show off a lot every chance he gets.

Lawyer: Defendant' did you give death threat to this guy? Defendant: Of course not. Internet is internet and everyone there has their own opinions. And those can only be respected. Lawyer: Well, therefore you would never lose your temper when people show love to Cameron Herring. Defendant: That guy was a drunk driver and killed TWO people! A mother and her daughter! I kill you! Ikill all of you! Especially those who say he's innocent because HE IS TOO FUCKING CUTE, YOU BASTARDS!

I would have let Freddy Quimby get arrested because firstly he is a spolit brat who thinks he can get whatever he wants and do whatever he wants and get away with it, I think a few nights in jail should teach him a lesson and also he is slighty responsible because he taunted the french chap and to make a big deal over a stupid word is ridiculous so a few nights in a cell should teach him that he can not get and do everything he wants and get away with it.
@pcwkid767 жыл бұрын
In the deleted scenes of the dvd, there was a sequence where Freddy comes out of the court room and immediately beats up the waiter. A group of cops then drag him back in beating him with nightsticks. So he did get his. We just missed it.
@eleanorhogan36697 жыл бұрын
Oh well they should have shown that, also Freddy deserves everything he gets, he has no redeeming features, he is bad tempered, spoilt and threatened to kill everyone.
@quinnfletcher39067 жыл бұрын
Personally, that's what I like about this old episodes! It would have been easy for Bart to come forward if the man was a good person, but because he was an ass it makes it more of a dilemma! Do you allow a bad person to go to jail for a crime they did not commit and in so doing earn a principles wrath or do you let as Lisa put it "horrible but innocent person" go to jail and get off scot free!
@eleanorhogan36697 жыл бұрын
Well yes true.

Doing the right thing doesn't always net the happiest ending. Sometimes it's even outright unfair. But what's the point in having ethics if they break as soon as they are tested?
